The thing w/ Bruce is I'm afraid if he stays on then he'll make yet another loser trade, possibly to move up in the draft to take a QB.

https://thefandc.radio.com/redskins-eric-schaffer-one-team-lead-candidate-president-football-operations

At least one team outside the Redskins organization has senior front office executive Eric Schaffer "at the top of their list" of candidates to take over as its president of football operations, a source tells Chris Russell of 106.7 The Fan.

Russell could be making that shit up in order to prop up Schaffer and make Bruce look bad.

I'm willing to concede that keeping Gruden is ok as long as Allen goes. Is Club Jay real and a good reason to fire Jay? Yes. However, if Alex Smith doesn't return next year and we are screwed by his cap hit I'm ok with dumping Allen anyways since the season will most likely be unspectacular with another journeyman qb. Let a new exec focus on building up everything but the qb and wait a year for a better opportunity to bring in a new qb with a stronger team around him.

Also idk a damn thing about Schaffer as a football man but I consider him among the best in the contract negotiation field. If he took over as team prez and left the football scouting to the football ops I'd be fine with that.

Russell doesn't need to make Bruce look bad, Bruce can do that all on his own.

58-82-1. Lower winning percentage than supreme douchebag Vinny Cerrato.

McNabb, RG3, Cousins (contract failure), Alex Smith

Shanahan, Gruden

All the personnel failures of the last 8 years.

I don't even need to hear rumors of Allen getting involved with playing time (which he should have nothing to do with).

Even if true I am fine with that Dan has been known to crumble to media pressure. He used to be fire trigger happy and now he won't fire anyone when clear change is needed.

He's become the Wizards version of Ted Leonsis (Caps Ted is fantastic, Wiz Ted is amongst the worst owners in the NBA).

had a dream last night Bruce was getting fired and out of spite traded Tress Way to the cowboys for a 3rd stringer line backer.

naturally I got up and checked the IPAD for Redskins news

Can someone please explain to be how this team decides to waive a young RB that has shows potential this year. I know we have been RB heavy on the roster and have injuries piling up so somebody has to go. What I don’t understand is we had Bibbs listed as #3 on the depth chart and Marshall at 4. The team had to know that running backs were in need everywhere. I don’t care if you wanted to move him down to the practice team or not. We just gave up young talent for nothing. The packers got a steal.

Because Jay Gruden likes Byron Marshall more than he liked Kapri Bibbs....and his devotion to Rob Kelly bothers me because Kelly is not only untalented but injury prone too( 2 years straight on IR)...just like he liked Trey Quinn more than he liked Simmie Cobbs....so the answer to your question is Jay Gruden is an imbecile when it comes to choosing the best talent for his team....it all depends on who he likes, not on who is more worthy.
