Until he’s not. And then we’ll go after Rex Ryan...

Redskins interviewing for defensive coordinators is basically this:

The Redskins Front Office has gotten so bad that Hollywood could make a comedy horror move out of it!

Read a rumor this morning that Marvin Lewis is in play...

A terrible mistake imo. Id keep Manusky over marvin lewis.

At this point, we should keep who we got in place and extend Tomsula. Go into the year with same guys...see if we can make some noise and if not, fire everyone next year. Set up the Org with brand new coaches and hopefully FO.

I agree, that's the point I was trying to make in my previous post: don't try to patch-fix it now, see what you can do with what you have and see if next year the situation is more appropriate for a real house cleaning.

The video was quite funny... But I have to admit this word gave me a good laugh too.

Not at your expense, but I had to google it up to make sure, and it's a common misspelling of "Apropos", from french "À propos", which can mean "speaking of which" or "right on point", depending on context.
Again, not mocking anybody in particular but it sounds (and in this instance looks) so funny when french words are used in english... Aprapoe sounds like a Native American first name, doesn't it?

I hold a belief that things can change quickly with smart moves in personnel, but mitigating that change with us is coaching.

Offense

I don't believe in Jay Gruden's offense...the excuses for the passing game are stale. I truly don't believe he believes running the ball is the best course of action for the team...which is a failure as well. I would like whoever the O Cord is to take over playcalling from jay and have more input. If not, bring in a new consultant...Joe Deflippo, etc. to help run things

Defense

Simply put, Manusky hasn't gotten the best out the talent we have. We have decent positional coaches, that's not the problem. Our performance on 3rd down is terrible. I get angry when I see Kerrigan in coverage.

The best thing right now is for this team to win 2-3 games next year. That way everyone will get fired. I'm just not sure there would be anyone capable that could pick the next coach. They'd only pick someone that could get along, like a Gruden or Zorn type.

From a 2011 article by Kevin Cowherd:

"It was former Orioles GM Syd Thrift who famously observed of all the talented free agents who spurned the club more than a decade ago: 'It's like we're offering Confederate money.'"

I've long thought that Dan Snyder is a lot like Peter Angelos in the way he ineptly runs his organization oblivious to the perceptions of the outside world. Now, he has finally sunk to the same level as Angelos where good people won't even accept big money to work for him.

Can't remember exactly where I saw the breakdown (I think Pro Football Focus) but statistically, establishing the run isn't as important as many of us are convinced it is and in many cases the tunnel vision focus to do so hinders the offense as a whole. You want to keep defenses unsure of where the ball is going but you can do so with short passes, bubble screens etc. I like the attitude that comes with hard nosed football but statistically, average yards are what matters, not how you get them.

John Defilippo has been ineffective everywhere he's been other than Philly and I think that had more to do with Frank Reich. Manusky? I don't know.. at times I think he's better than he gets credit for and other times I think he's awful. My biggest gripe on both sides of the ball are the lack of preparation and in-game adjustments. Fix those two things and find an identity and culture and I think this ship gets righted fast.

Yeah interesting enough I haven't argued against an innovative offense which keeps defense unbalanced and guessing. And a lot successful offenses that do this, have playermakers on teams that can execute it...Rams, KC, Saints.

With our team, running the ball should be the foundation to work towards becoming a more balance team.
