Jay Gruden and Scot M were Bruce decisions as was Alex Smith. Bruce Allen is not qualified to make GM level football decisions and needs to go.

Our current team is the creation of Bruce Allen.

He’s played well the last 3 games but was pretty much non existent the first half of the season.
Signing guys like him that can make a play every now and then but isn’t consistent is the reason this team is this way.

You know what would help our corners? A consistent edge rush.

I know I pick on the guy but there are a dozen guys on the team that aren’t producing, PS and his zero sacks was an easy target thru 8 games. I’m tired of hearing about a players upside without production. Orakpo looked like a beast but had something like 5 career sacks against the NFC east. We don’t miss him.

If we don’t have an elite QB, we need an elite pass rusher not 8-10 sack seasons. Von Miller took Denver to the Super Bowl and stole that game. The Bears and Mack are playing well.
We shouldn’t settle for the Alex Smith of Pass rushers.

Orakpo 1 sack

Edge rusher might be the most important position on the defense, we shouldn’t settle for just a guy.

Ionnidis has 7.5sacks and is an interior lineman. We should extent that guy.

Cowher is completely different. He built the Steelers himself. In his 15 years they had 13 winning seasons, and had them in the playoffs 10 years, 8 division titles, 2 Super Bowl appearances, 161-99 record. Cowher was one of the toughest on his players but loved and respected at the same time.

Gruden inherited a team, luckily won a Super Bowl and sucked after that. He’s built nothing. His record was a paltry 101-98.
