It's not like this team was winning because of Alex Smith. In my opinion, Colt can come in and provide just as much if not more (because of his experience in this offense) than Alex has this year. As has been said, beat Dallas on T-day and they very likely win the division. Whole team needs to step it up for the next six games.

2 Big things that Alex contributed as he was 6-3.
Red Zone % was very good
No Turnovers (+11)
If Colt can keep this pace I agree we won't miss Alex that much. If Colt comes in Thursday and has 3 ints and we lose, we are done

I think the key to winning the East is beating Dallas Thursday.

Is it me or has Zach Brown lost a step? He was all over the field last year, he’s been quiet this year. Thoughts?

He's been good on Run D, one of the best actually but the big plays are gone so it looks like he is losing a step. Still a very good LB

Colt McCoy will play like Kirk Cousins did. He will get the ball out on time, anticipating breaks. The offense will function at a higher level and gain more yards and score more points.
The question is whether the other team will score more too, because of potentially more turnovers from our QB.
I say McCoy takes care of the ball well, we win the NFC East while Dallas goes down at the hands of the Skins this weekend, the Saints and the surging Colts. And then we end up with trade offers in the offseason for McCoy.

He's top 5 in the NFL on PFF's LB ratings.

Remember 2014 when McCoy started 4 games before he suffered a neck injury that put him on IR?...I think he's a much different Colt McCoy from then.

This sorry ass team won't win shit as long as Jay and Bruce are here.
