Trade Deadline Movesmooby 10-22-2018, 04:42 PM Man I can't understate how thrilled I am that the Cowboys, and not us, were the ones to give up a first rounder for Cooper. MTK 10-22-2018, 04:43 PM https://sportsday.dallasnews.com/dallas-cowboys/cowboys/2017/12/24/cowboys-wr-dez-bryants-drops-seahawks-ezekiel-elliott-rest-league-stats-last-year Article from Dallas news last December examining the drop rate of Dez...come to find out Amari Cooper only had more total drops. Great, so in a few years when Cooper is on the street we'll have to listen to Skins fans begging to sign him? NC_Skins 10-22-2018, 04:43 PM I wanted the skins to go after Cooper, but a 1 is ridiculous. A 3rd max - he's on the last year of his rookie deal. Patriots gave up a 5th rounder for Josh Gordan. Why in the hell would anybody even waste a 3rd on a guy who's best attribute is being consistent about being inconsistent. JoeRedskin 10-22-2018, 05:07 PM As others have said, better them than us. Hopefully, it works out just as well as their other trades of 1st round picks for receivers has. Really smacks of desperation to me. Meanwhile, in other news, Oakland trades away all their starters for future draft picks. Derek Carr to Jacksonville is next. sevier2 10-22-2018, 05:10 PM Patriots gave up a 5th rounder for Josh Gordan. Why in the hell would anybody even waste a 3rd on a guy who's best attribute is being consistent about being inconsistent. Cooper doesn't come with the Off-the-field issues and is younger. JoeRedskin 10-22-2018, 05:13 PM As I was saying: NFL Update @MySportsUpdate: Oakland might not be done: #Raiders are still open to moving CB Gareon Conley and S Karl Joseph. 12:24 PM - 22 Oct 2018 https://twitter.com/MySportsUpdate/status/1054453492201480194 Don't know if this is a reliable feed or a Russian bot, but it is certainly consistent with Jon Gruden's plan so far. <sarcasm font on> Oakland GM McKenzie: "This is just fine." MTK 10-22-2018, 05:14 PM A 1st for Cooper is a huge win by the Raiders and just makes Dallas look dumb. JJ is getting roasted on Twitter. Ruhskins 10-22-2018, 05:15 PM As I was saying: https://twitter.com/MySportsUpdate/status/1054453492201480194 Don't know if this is a reliable feed or a Russian bot, but it is certainly consistent with Jon Gruden's plan so far. <sarcasm font on> Oakland GM McKenzie: "This is just fine." Why in the hell would anybody even waste a 3rd on a guy who's best attribute is being consistent about being inconsistent. Gordan is a puff puff pass away from getting banned for life. Cooper has a pair of 1000yard seasons and is only 24. If he would've ended up with Brees, he would be a ProBowler. Fortunately for us, he has Dak. skinsfan69 10-22-2018, 05:17 PM FUK! First round trades have worked SO WELL for JJ in the past......Joey Galloway (2 first rounders).....Roy Williams......now Amari Cooper..... I know Cooper can play WR. I am still not convinced that Dak can play QB and get him the ball. Some people never learn. It's not a good trade at all. The guy can't catch and will want a new deal. As Matty mentioned, just draft Ridley or be patient and wait until the 19 draft. Cowboys aren't going anywhere anyway w/ Dak under center. |
