Pretty awesome how he worked his way up from a blogger. I remember seeing him in Canton when Monk and Green got in, I should have said hello but I didn’t want to bother him, wish I did now. I’ll definitely miss his articles and insight, the Redskins Talk podcast will never be the same.

Reading Keim's article, the death must have been amazingly sudden. Having just experienced the death of my dad in the last few weeks, not as sudden, and yet just as sudden, I can't imagine for Keim or others who left expecting to see him, and then not, no goodbye, no silent moment to thank him for his personal enrichment in your life, none of the moments that helped me as my father passed. That article must have taken everything he had to write, and Rich's family and friends have my deepest condolences.

Sorry for your loss. My stepfather died suddenly in 2014, heart attack in his sleep. It was definitely a shock and so strange vs when my real Dad died in 2012 after a battle with cancer. No good byes, no preparing for it, just here one day and gone the next.

I'm guessing Rich had a heart attack too or a stroke.

Thanks all.

Must have been a heart attack/stroke, just odd they didn't put a general note out.

Again, thanks guys. My (and JR's) dad was 87 so like I said - same but different. He took a huge downturn in a span of 10 days going from "heart healthy as a beast" should live for many years, to hospice 1 month max to hours not days :(. That was hard enough, I can't imagine what Rich Tandler's family - sounds like he was a real good man - and friends are trying to cope with.

Terrible loss
