per Cooley;
On Jordan Reed. He can't WALK into anyone's facility tomorrow. Let alone jog in." That's great.
TE may be a bigger priority than most people thought.

If we were trying to trade down, Cooley saying that might create an impression of us taking a TE that didn't exist before. Not that Cooley is a shill for the FO or anything

Real shame. If he stayed healthy he was well on his way to the HOF. His stats were as good as any TE at one point and he was only getting better.

We gotta follow BPA strategy at this point; it is very likely one of players who are considered as 1st round talent or high 2nd round talent will fall to us.

As long as its not a rb or a qb I'm good.
Would love Henandez or Williams or Lorenzo Carter or Landry.

BPA is funny anyway. Different teams or people grade guys different and imo until u take the field and prove it u aint the best anything. How many guys every year dont pan out? When u lean heavily on need there is atleast a decent chance they improve a roster spot because there is obviously a guy already there that aint cutting it. Its a much safer way to go.
Of course if it is a really highly touted guy that falls mysteriously than go for it. But that don’t happen so often.

I completely agree with you on that.
The way I see it, BPA has to weigh in two ways: first you don't miss a potential All Pro one of a kind playmaker, second if you want to fill a need with a player rated lower than others available and you think he could still be there a few spots down the draft, you trade down and let need and BPA align (in a perfect world).
Again, instinctively, I've never been a fan of 100% BPA approach, since the draft still is quite a crapshoot.
