Yeah Alex is done, sucks to see his career end like that. It's back to drafting a QB once again for this team. The redskins are cursed

A lot of people i'm sure wanted Colt McCoy to come in, but i do believe that nobody wanted him to come in given these circumstances. I hope that Alex Smith's career did not just end today.

After that second INT, I was ready for McCoy. I felt the only thing that kept Smith in the lineup these past few weeks had been that he didn't turn the ball over. His two INTs led to 10 Houston points.

Still, I feel bad for the guy. If he comes back from this, it would be a miracle.

He's 34 , his career is over. He's already going to miss most of next yr now so he might as well hang it up.

Yes, i think he will try and rehab it just like Joe Theismann did, but i'm not sure if he will ever get cleared to play. Joe tried to comeback, but failed his team physical. Only time will tell. Joe was older too, but not by much.

Let's assume best case scenario is he heals up and is ready for next year.

Do you really wanna bring back a 35yo qb coming off a serious leg injury? Hard pass for me.

I think we need to slow the roll on ending his career. It’s a 6 month injury typically.

If I’m not wrong the game where Thiesmann’s leg was broken ended with the same score and happened on the 40 yard line also.

Just curious wasn’t Joe contemplating retirement

It looked to me like a compound fracture, bottom of his leg was at an angle.
