Agree? Glad to have him. HTTR! MTK 03-14-2018, 08:08 PM Bill Polian just said Alex Smith would have gotten more money than any QB ever if he'd hit the open market this year. Agree? I kind of doubt it SolidSnake84 03-14-2018, 10:35 PM Bill Polian just said Alex Smith would have gotten more money than any QB ever if he'd hit the open market this year. Agree? I don't think so. I mean anything is possible, but even Cousins didn't get what the "experts" felt he would get, which was $30 million a year. Cousins and Smith are very similar. Schneed10 03-14-2018, 11:36 PM from OTC To be clear, all of that information pertains to the deal he signed in 2014 with KC. He will count $17M on our cap this year, because the last year of his KC deal comes over to us. Next year, in 2019, his new extension will kick in. Number44 03-15-2018, 01:26 AM I'm guessing Smith won't take a knee on the two yard line with seconds left in the half and no time outs. Loved Kirk, but Alex Smith strikes me as a winner. DYoungJelly 03-15-2018, 12:21 PM I'm guessing Smith won't take a knee on the two yard line with seconds left in the half and no time outs. Loved Kirk, but Alex Smith strikes me as a winner. I had totally forgotten about that! Kirk is a really good qb and I wish we would have signed him way back when. There was frustration from Jay with Kirk not slinging it down field like Rex used to. I do really wonder how many brain farts like the kneel down happened within the offense that fans would never pick up on. |
