Ruhskins 02-21-2018, 11:38 AM Why can't DirecTV allow everybody the opportunity to just purchase the Sunday Ticket? I would gladly pay for the Sunday ticket and stream it via Roku or PS4 if they would sell it to me, but because I'm at an address where I'm eligible for DTV service, they won't let me have just NFL Sunday Ticket. I have to be a DTV customer, and quite frankly, their price gouging after a year is why I no longer subscribe to their service.
If AT&T is smart, they should start adding the NFL package as an option to their Direct TV Now streaming service.
The NFL needs to get smart about offering streaming options. A lot of people are getting rid of cable and going with streaming services.
skinsfaninok 02-21-2018, 11:46 AM I can actually but our HOA gives a sweet group rate on cable so it doesn’t make sense to have the dish anymore
ahh gotcha

I would stream if it wasn't for the ticket

Yes, and not only streaming options, but the ability to start the stream on a delay. Sometimes, I'm out and not home right at 1pm to watch the game. If it's on local TV, I can DVR, but if not then I have to find a shared stream. To be able to access the stream on a delay and watch the game like that would be just fine for me! And I would gladly pay NFL Sunday Ticket package price for such ability.
It's kind of like the Napster days. Sure, you have some who refused to ever pay to have certain music, but then you had those who begged to have the ability to pay for just the tracks we wanted without having to buy the entire album. Thus, eventually, iTunes was created! The NFL needs to wake up and see that something similar is happening with their product. People don't want to pay for DirecTV just to have NFL Sunday ticket. After all, the other stuff that DirecTV offers can pretty much be had with the other pay TV services. But, it's the NFL Sunday ticket that is sought after, and a lot of us wind up having to find a stream online to watch the game. I would GLADLY pay, even pay per stream, to watch my team in full HD, and live.
The NFL is definitely working on streaming options since they’ve already been doing it here and there with Twitter and Amazon. Just a matter of time and money
skinsfaninok 02-21-2018, 12:23 PM The sunday ticket is worth the $ but damn why do they have to make it go up??? So annoying

They have it. They just don´t sell it to you. :P

Exactly! If they can provide that service to our friends across the pond, no reason why they couldn't provide it to all of us in the states. I mean, they do technically have it, but only local/regional games and prime time games. Not out of market games live unless you're a DirecTV subscriber.
TheGuyFromOverThere 02-22-2018, 12:56 AM I suppose it´s related to the TV Deals - why would Fox, ABC, NBC, whoever, pay a ton of money and invest in crews and cameras etc for people to watch it via stream and pay only direct to the NFL.
So, first, those would need to be restructured.
Maybe the XFL Network will show how it´s done. ;)
