Don't look now, but I'm supporting Bruce Allen. I think he was right all along. And I think he's right in acquiring Smith. Gruden's offensive scheme is going to make that pickup look pretty good.

wow a change of tune?? I have loved the trade since day 1. Saw a PFF prediction of Smith for 2018 and it had 27 Tds 8ints I believe and 4000 yards.

here it is

Statistical projection?
2017 was by far Smith’s best season statistically, ending the season as the NFL’s leader in quarterback rating (104.7). Over his entire career in K.C., Smith averaged 3,707 yards, 65.1% completion percentage, 21 touchdowns, and just 7 interceptions. All stats based on a per 16 game average.

During Kirk Cousins’s three years as the bonafide starter in Washington he averaged 4,392 yards, 67% completion percentage, 27 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. Cousins also averaged 50 more attempts per season than Smith, which is due mostly in part to the playcalling differences between K.C. and Washington.

Should Smith average the same number of attempts his stats would look something like 4,055 yds, 23 TDs, and 8 INTs. Compare that to his most recent season in KC of 4,042 yds, 67.5%, 26 TDs, and 5 INTs and Smith may be in line to shatter his personal bests.

Prediction: 4,300 yards, 65%, 28 TDs, and 8 INTs

I think if we can pick up a dynamic WR, either in FA or Draft, we will have a good to great offense.

I still want Jarvis Landry, he can fill that Pierre Garcon role that we missed so badly this year

I’m so exhausted by this blame game people want to play. Shit didn’t work out, both sides have to share some blame. Time to move on. Smith is our QB.Can the FO be blamed for offering Kirk what they thought he was worth?

One of the old complaints about Snyder during the Vinny years was he was a fan boy and over paid for players.

If Allen is listening to his football people and then he is setting ceilings for resignings and FAs which means getting players who want to be in Washington to win and not just get paid.

We need a #1 WR and he could definitely do the job; however, he will probably cost some team $15M or more per year. That would be a big cap hit for the Skins.

Any number 1 WR is going to cost you that

We can afford 1, maybe 2 top FAs, If it was me, I would make Jarvis Landry 1 of them.
