People don't like their country being protested, especially on the basis of lies.
Link (https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/jul/18/lies-black-lives-matter/) Shocker!

Even more shocking, people protest and expect no backlash.

Most shocking of all, politicizing sports is divisive. SHOCKING, I say!

Kneeling was never about the flag or country.

It's sure to attract the middle-aged white man crowd that can't watch football because a guy is kneeling during the national anthem.

Has anybody seen the most recent Chappell standup on Netflix? Welp, it hilarious of course but I roared at the bit about the flag kneeling. He threw in an OJ reference and an imitation of the kneel....I bout fell off my couch in laughter. It’s perfect.

Sometimes with these issues, humor puts it in perfect context.

Funny thing to say about something done when the flag and national anthem are presented.

Oh wait, in Colin Kapernick's own words: “I am not going to stand up to show pride in a FLAG for a COUNTRY that oppresses Black people and people of color. " (http://ftw.usatoday.com/2016/08/colin-kaepernick-49ers-national-anthem-sit-explains) (Bold, underline, and caps mine)

Guess Kapernick didn't get the memo about kneeling never being about the flag or country. Someone should educate him.

;)

It was about a benched former QB who was looking for a way to become pertinent again as others joined in the gesture was interpreted as a different thing altogether. Lets remember when this QB in question was a starter he did nothing of the sort and life was fine.

That’s certainly an interesting way to go about it. I can think of a lot easier ways.

In all due respect to you, and please do not take this as a personal attack, but I truly feel sorry for you if you believe that Kaepernick's protest was really deep down about him not being a starting QB.
