I have said from day 1 he'll be a Jet, they have the most money and that is all he cares about
The Browns have the most cap space, so if that’s all he cares about he’s going there. I still think it’s Denver or Minnesota.

Browns haven't said they are interested, I think they will go QB in the draft and spend the $ on FA. Plus Kizer didn't really have a chance, I wouldn't say he is a bust just yet. JETS have said they want KC

That's Scot Mccloughan's contract.

The Browns were after Smith so why not Cousins? They’re clearly in the QB game

Browns will now set sights on Kirk Cousins, AJ McCarron and other veteran QBs | cleveland.com (http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/2018/01/browns_will_now_set_sights_on.html)
True but maybe not for $30M a year, I guess we'll see what happens. Denver is still a possibility if they free up the space.

Cousins is going to have a lot of competition. He's got some free agents that are way cheaper and of course some really good rookies. It will be interesting come March.

I keep saying this, and when you take the Redskins out of the equation, a team has to fall in love with him to pay over the top money. I just don't think his body of work, and his previous non-negotiations with the Redskins will get teams jumping over each other to sign him.
I really think you’re overthinking it CR.
Top 12 QB hits the market in the prime of his career = payday
And it wouldn’t be over the top money, it’s market value for the next guy up

You are probably right. And I know QB's have an over the top value - see any numerous examples. I still will be interested how his contract situation shakes out and think that GOOD front offices will balk at giving KC the same as JG.
IF he ends up with Cleveland, or NYJ, then yes they may overpay, but I don't see Denver or Minn FO's overpaying him, and Az and Jax are too cheap to pay that type money.

I saw a stat earlier
top 5 paid QB's
1. JIMMY
2. Stafford
3. Carr
4. Luck
5. Flacco.
None of those teams have had much success
