I will take literally any other option besides Kirk being on this team again on a 1 year deal. So I'm looking at a possible 6 months of watching to hope this does not occur. Sounds great.Same here.
As bad as I want Kirk here long term, I'd rather have Colt start, no long term solution behind him and know next season is a rebuilding one than another year of "too cheap to marry you, too coward to break up with you" !

With this front office...nothing will surprise me. When was the last time a team franchised their starting QB for 2 seasons?
When was the last time an NFL team franchised their starting QB for 3 seasons in a row? We might do it. The Redskins seem determined to make history and not in a good way. What else is new.

Any smart decision by this franchise would require atleast one single person in the FO that knows anything about building a football team. That one person is the single greatest need for this team right now.

You make it sound like there would only be one rebuilding season by letting KC go. This team has been rebuilding since Y2K but the past 2 season it seems like the end of the rebuild is finally in sight. Letting KC go pushes the reset button on this team and God only knows how many years it takes to get back to where they are now.

I don't think letting kirk go means we will suck, look at the rookies that have come in and led their teams to good seasons.

Nothing this franchise does gives me confidence that they can bring in a rookie at any position, let alone QB, who will lead the team to success.

2012 Bro... But I hear ya man it sucks to be us right now.
Can Washington Redskins sign Kirk Cousins and still build around him? - Washington Redskins Blog- ESPN (http://www.espn.com/blog/washington-redskins/post/_/id/35446/can-the-redskins-sign-kirk-cousins-and-still-build-around-him)
“It’s unique this year,” Banner said. “There are a couple of veteran quarterbacks out there other than [Cousins] who could be available, so there’s a possibility for other options that might be more affordable and present an opportunity to build around them at a more affordable price. That’s why this [situation] is more challenging.”
Which hurts Kirk iMO and helps us
Gruden has a proven track record with QB’s and scheming an offense to get good production from the position. If we move on from Kirk whoever takes over is in good hands.

Dalton and Cousins have both been very good with Jay, I agree I'm not too concerned but that doesn't mean you just let KC walk away and start Colt.

Why the hell would they take him on a one year deal and give up the 4th pick???
Are you being facetious, or assuming that Kirk would negotiate a long-term deal?
:confused?:
I do think it's a possibility he'd sign a LTD w/ them. They could draft Barkley, you have a good O-line and Josh Gordon coming back. Plus they'd still have $ to go get more players.
