He spends like he has a $100m guaranteed contract. FrenchSkin 06-22-2018, 06:13 AM I think the ILB position will be a problem this year. Brown is awesome against the run. He isn't very good in coverage but I don't care, he needs to be going after the ball carrier at all times. Foster is coming back from a shoulder injury that put him on IR last year. It's risky banking on him playing 16 games this year so we need backups. I don't agree with what has been said about Spaight, Him and Brown are the only linebackers that made plays in the backfield. He has good speed and is aggressive. Now his angles to the ball carrier suck. he is too aggressive at time. He is a ST coverage guy and a last resort backup. Vigil will be coaching HS football in September but will be back around week8 when players start falling apart.. Buchanon will be our backup ILB and he is coming off an ACL injury, Yikes. We really need Foster and Nicholson to stay healthy. We agree on the last part. But I maintain that Vigil is a real solid back up and will do the job when asked, he has very decent physical skills and could be helped by good DL play. As for Foster, shoulders are a fragile articulation, but are fixed well. I dislocated mines 11 times (8 and 3) and have had absolutely no issue after my 2 surgeries, I came back stronger and more confident than before, started Boxing. I know a lot of guys that had the same surgery, including football players... and we didn't have access to the bests of bests (surgeons, rehab facilities etc...) like Foster does. Nothing to be worried about yet. As Chico said, don't forget about Josh "Hybrid" Harvey-Clemons, and 6th rounder Shaun Dion Hamilton whom Cooley thought pretty highly of in his breakdown. He has been timed consistently at between 4.80 and 4.88 in the forty. Vigil did a good job for us last season. I think he has a shot at making the season opening roster. This is the guy they envision as a sub package ...trying to play him as the Browns replacement against the pass. Harvey-Clemons is one to watch. Because of Hamilton injury history, they might just bring him along, not show too much and stash on practice squad. Really just depends on his Health. IMO, its gonna be Virgil vs Spaight for one spot, unless Harvey-Clemons completely shits the bed preseason. skinsfaninok 06-22-2018, 09:43 AM I follow QD on social media, he is going to be broke while still in the nfl. He spends like he has a $100m guaranteed contract. That is most athletes lol KI Skins Fan 06-22-2018, 09:45 AM This is the guy they envision as a sub package ...trying to play him as the Browns replacement against the pass. Harvey-Clemons is one to watch. Agree. H-C was 217 lbs when drafted. He's now listed at 230 lbs, so he's less of a tweener now. He also has height and length to go with 35" arms and huge hands. If he's ready to play more, he could definitely make passes harder to complete. FrenchSkin 06-22-2018, 09:53 AM Huh? Spaight does not have good speed. Speed is not a matter of opinion. That's faster than Foster (4,75) who makes plays in the backfield and is a good cover LB. Alex will use him a ton, the guy that I see getting the least amount of targets is PRich |
