KI Skins Fan 02-28-2018, 09:22 AM Absent trading down, which I'd be agreeable with, I want Vea or Payne at # 13 (with players we have a chance at).
I just don't see the fit for Payne. He is the same size as Jonathan Allen which is a bit undersized for an NFL DT. Heck, he even has a similar skill set to that of Allen. So, the way I see it, we already have what Payne brings to the party in Jonathan Allen.
What we really need is a big, fat run stuffer. I think we should take a run at Bennie Logan or the big dude from Atlanta in FA. If we don't sign one of those two, then Vea would be very high on my wish list.
skinsfaninok 02-28-2018, 09:29 AM No way.
I like Barkley a lot, and wouldn't pass him up if he falls to the Redskins, but an elite RB is not something I'd ever trade for. Significant contributors at RB can be found in the mid rounds every year. RBs also don't have longevity, it's just not a good long term return on investment.

Imo he is a guy that could put us over the top with Smith tho, I would certainly entertain it at the very least. RB's are easy to fill but ELITE RB's are very far and few between.

I also really really like Tim Settle as a 2nd round option.

Also, name me an elite RB that has won a Superbowl in the past 10 years.

WillH 02-28-2018, 09:37 AM Ok, this is a hard question for me to answer, I wanted to see what you all think. If the following players are all somehow available at 13 who would you take:
A. Barkley
B. Nelson
C. Ridley
D. Vea
E. R. Smith
F. None of the above

Barkley no doubt, and I do believe he could help us win the east. Not saying SB but also who thought Philly would? It can happen man

I know that's not your point, but it is mine. They traded up to get their franchise QB, that's much different. They also stackes their lines. They did not add an elite RB to take them over the top.

very true, I do think we def need a Guard and a Center to solidify that line. Hope we get most of our holes filled this OS
skinsfaninok 02-28-2018, 10:39 AM The Giants are in a great spot to trade down IMO, yes they could take Barkley but they could load up on picks, look how many teams want a QB.
