I was 2 and had no idea football existed, nor did anybody around me.
I married this summer. Tonight I'm a officiating a game near Paris. So yeah I'd say life has changed quite a bit.

Your love of American Football is truly special. I'm just glad you chose the Redskins to be your NFL team and that you post on this site.

Congratulations and best wishes to you and your bride on your recent marriage! What does your wife think about your unusual interest in American Football?

I was on the verge of turning 31, freshly divorced living with two male friends a block from the beach in San Clemente California, taking trips to Tijuana Mexico to party every weekend like I was 20. Now I live in the woods of Central Virginia, the only wild life now is the critters running around in the forest. I have a fear with Snyder as owner the Redskins chances of winning another aren't that good and I don't think he is going anywhere anytime soon.

Thanks a lot man!

My wife thinks I'm a bit crazy (which is 100% true) but I don't drink, don't do drugs, don't cheat but do take care of her quite a lot so overall she's fine ^^
She even offered me 2 tickets for the Skins @ Bengals game in London last season and really enjoyed the experience. Late in the 3rd QTR she smiled at me and proudly said "I managed to see the ball through the whole play!" so obviously what happened on the field was a bit obscure to her but we had a lot of fun.

I always thought team sports are something important, impactful and beautiful to have in a human society. It brings together people (on and off the field) that would not even have met without sport, and it allows them to fight, cheer, work hard, laugh and cry together and support each other...

And American Football is the ultimate team sport. I never played anything bringing such a strong team spirit. This is a beautiful sport that has something deep and meaningful that no stats can explain. It teaches a lot about yourself and life.

As for the Skins, it wasn't a rational choice at all, I just felt watching games highlights and videos that this was my team. Always been on the side of the underdogs that fought with everything they got, and I think in way the Redskins symbolise this, so this might be why. I also liked the fight song a lot !

Finally, I'm so glad I found this board, along with playing 2 years and then officiating when my professional life didn't allow me to play anymore (and listening to Cooley&Kevin quite often!), it helped me deepen my understanding of this game a lot.
If you watch my first posts here you'll see someone that really doesn't know much about Football.
I learned a lot here!

Just like you, I’m glad I found this board, but for different reasons. I was formerly a member of ExtremeSkins, and well, the mods didn’t like me very much there. That led me here, where I feel I can say more of how I really feel. Football and all other team sports are definitely great at bringing people together. I’m glad we are football and Redskins fans! Let’s enjoy these playoff games!

Last year I made the drive up 5 from San Diego to San Clemente to play Shorecliffs. I really like San Clemente. Stayed the night up there, had some great seafood. Why in the world did you leave?????????????????

I wanted to buy a house and start a business. At first I had to keep the day job and Riverside was the same distance to work as San Clemente and the houses were 1/3 of the price, also my business used a lot of electricity and the area of Riverside I moved to had a co-op with cheap electricity about 1/3 the price of what I would have paid in the OC. I lived in Riverside for 15 years then fled the state.

If Jags win I'm rooting for Eagles. Jags would kill Foles.

I want Jags to win the SB out of the 4 remaining.
