Tom Loverro sd on the radio that we are the only team to not have a 11-5 or better season in the last 23 years. That in part is why we look at 8-8 as being somewhat a success, because we compare ourselves to our past performance.
Im convinced that this team would be 11-5 without injuries, even with the tough SOS.
That's so sad and pathetic.

Ha, no, I meant the 23 years factoid. That's embarrassing.

The 23 years without 11 wins really hurts -- I knew it had been a long time, but i hadn't recalled it being that long ago.
Every season feels like woulda-coulda-shoulda. This season, if Doctson hadn't dropped the TD catch against the Chiefs, had we not blown leads with the Vikings and Saints, had we gutted out a win in the second Eagles game which was within reach.... So frustrating. This team could have won another 3-4 games, even with the injuries. Of course, we could also have lost some close ones too -- but good teams that are well coached, disciplined, and have depth from a good GM find ways to win more of those games than lose.
Hate the Pats all you want -- they're the best coached team in football. And they have enough talent in terms of scouts, etc. that they can find guys who aren't superstars and still win.
We need a real GM, but more importantly, we need Bruce Allen away from the team. No idea if Doug Williams has the goods, but it won't matter if Bruce continues to meddle and screw stuff up. I still cringe when I think of his stupid press release video referring to the effort to sign "Kurt" Cousins -- the dipshit.
