Are you really going to come on here and blame this game on Cousins? I just can't get over that. He may or may not have screwed up that play but so fucking what? He dropped numerous dimes all day, the o gave that high school defense a 15 point lead w/ like 5:00 to play. I don't give a damn what happened on that play, it should have never even come down to that if we have someone that could make a stop.

This is so true. It never, ever, ever, ever, ever should have been an issue IF, and that is a big if, Gruden calls a better play on third and nothing. Or if the D does not turn into absolute pussies before our very eyes. Or if our special teams didn’t go full spaz. Im not excusing KC in that moment. I am really not. But it shouldn’t even matter.

On to blaming Gruden!

F this bum as well.
He comes out and targets Doctson with success early on. Their best corner goes out and we don’t throw to him again? Wtf

Gruden is too nice. Likes the players too much. Someone needed to cut Hall in the offseason. He is too broken down.

Grudens player rotation sucks. Running backs need carries. Slitting carries between 3 backs doesn’t work. Force the ball to your best players. Doctson needs 10-15 targets a game.

I can agree w/ this. However we were moving the ball and scoring. So even though Doc disappeared which is total BS, other guys were making plays.

Do I blame him for losing the game? No

Do I blame him for not winning the game? Yes

He is the QB of the team, the pressure is on him but unfortunately he comes up with the mental version of the butt fumble.

On the biggest fucking play of the game (at the time) he makes a negative play that cost us yards and time.
Also, after the penalty he did not have the team ready for the next play and wasted 1/3 of the total time we had left.

Double fuck up!

I can name numerous other big plays that were fuck ups. I can name about 20 on defense but you want to blame one on the QB that kept you in the game and gave you a 15 point lead? Ok whatever... Personally Gruden just should have let the play go and not said anything to the QB... and get a few more yards for the kicker. You're already in FG range and they have no TO's. No need to do anything expect get a few more yards for your kicker.

If it was a run play why would he expect crowder to be wandering around over there blocking no one? If the guy has no idea what you're doing maybe look before you chuck it. Stupid freaking decision. Call a damn audible or run the original play.

They didn't call an audible because it was too loud. Original play was bad because they had stacked the line for a run. It was a miscommunication, Kirk saw the coaches mouthing to throw it, but it was too loud for everybody to hear the audible. Kirk thought Crowder would be in the area, so he could get away with throwing it and no intentional grouding. Obviously it was a comms error.

That is true but you need a work horse at Wr you can go to on critical plays. Garçon was this guy. Jordan Reed was this guy.
On 3rd downs, they don’t trust anyone.
We can’t run a god damn slant on 3rd downs.
Wtf how does Gruden overlook this simple yet effective route?

Kirk probably doesn't trust our wideouts to run it. Not that I blame him. Maybe they run it in practice and they can't even do it right so Gruden doesn't call it in games. Idk. But yeah, our plan to replace a guy like Garcon as our clutch 3rd down go-to guy obviously didn't pan out. Reed being injured all the time doesn't help either. And CT25 was good but obviously isn't a threat every third down, and now he's done for the year. Skins definitely need that 3rd down guy.

Even with the miscommunication the refs totally blew it. That is not grounding by the rules. The refs blew that call horribly.

I blame both coaching and the QB. Sometimes you have numbers that do not reflect reality. The box score does not tell the story with the Redskins. Kirk looks better on paper than he is in real life, he puts up meaningless stats in loses. When the game is on the line he makes fatal mistakes. The Skins aren't winning anything of significance with him or Gruden, time to start over. How many games do top NFL QBs or coaches lose up 15 with 3min to go? Answer, none.Actually, this meltdown was much like Atlanta's in last year's Super Bowl. Now I have a small idea how their fans feel, but doing that in the Super Bowl is so much worse. This just ends playoff hopes for a mediocre, inconsistent team.

If Gruden called a QB sneak there is a 99% chance we're all having a completely different conversation. But once again he failed. Hell I would have tried a QB sneak on 4th down too if needed knowing how Manusky is just as incompetent as he is. Our HC, OC, and DC all suck.

Refs said it's the Redskins, the media will cover it up and the NFL won't care, let's call it.
