skinsfaninok 11-14-2017, 10:04 PM Kirk won't sit even if we didn't win another game. He's not the problem at all. In fact he's had a good year once again.

Let me ask a question to the more educated posters here:
When / If it is determined that the Redskins are mathematically eliminated from the playoff chase, do you bench Kirk Cousins to keep him healthy?
I just think given the uncertainty of his 2018 season, do we risk injuring him in a lost season? I think if he got hurt bad this year, it would not only affect our ability to trade him for value / high picks, but also affect his value as a player, as i don't think a team would want to break the bank to sign him depending on what kind of injury he would be coming back from.
Seeing the talk of the giants benching Eli to protect him just got me thinking....
Trade?
That’s not how this off-season is going to go.

My feeling was that we would put the transition tag on him.
SouperMeister 11-16-2017, 01:53 PM I haven't been on jays case all year but yesterday was a disaster, he was clearly over matched and was clueless on a few drives. That 3&1 and 4&1 to CT on both was Jim Zorn like. Jay just never seems to get over the hump either and this is year 4 now.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using TapatalkJay is Norv 2.0. Great offensive coordinator, but a lax leader. Both headed teams that made just enough mistakes to beat themselves. Whether it's Gus Frerotte head-butting a wall and knocking himself out of the game, Michael Westbrook taking his helmet off and penalizing us out of winning FG range, or Josh Doctson inexplicably tripping on a "turf-monster" when he's wide open for a TD, I've seen this movie before. Not saying we should fire Jay, but his leadership (or lack thereof), and his team's inconsistencies reminds me of Norv's tenure as HC.
What does Jay have to do with Doctson tripping on our shitty turf??

i agree, he isnt elite, but i have plenty of concerns with some of the picks he throws and his decisions, his mobility in the pocket, his field vision, his pre snap recognition and ability to audible (whether thats on him or jay), his deep ball, his overall accuracy ... kirk is a mid tier qb imo and i am slowly falling off the bandwagon.... while i do agree he hasnt had much help at all this year from the line at times and from the WRs as well... every game i continue to lose faith and i know.... that he is not worth the money projected and it seems he wants, i cant see paying him like a stafford, when the fact is hes just not as good.... so its less that i think he IS the problem, but i cant agree that he ISNT part of or A problem on his own.

Every fanbase has a problem with almost every pick a qb throws. You think Rodgers or Brady don't make a boneheaded play from time to time? You might be able to convince me Brady never makes a single mistake on 99% of plays, but he's also the GOAT. Cousins is never gonna be in GOAT territory, but he's definitely in the "take us deep in the playoffs with a good team around him" territory. Hard to find those guys nowadays.
