True and that's something we ain't even gotta' pay for!
Cowboys May Cut DT Glover and/or DE EllisTheMalcolmConnection 06-02-2005, 12:23 PM True and that's something we ain't even gotta' pay for! memphisskin 06-02-2005, 01:05 PM You guys do realize that you're talking about GREG ELLIS!! If he's better than anyone we currently have it is not by much, he had all of 10 sacks last year which I understand would have led our team but let's stop all the "Kearse-like build" comments and come to our senses. 1. He's a former Cowboy and not even a very good one at that. 2. He's a former Cowboy for a reason and they were 6-10 last year too. 3. He's a former Cowboy, nuff said. But Glover, well that's a different story. The guy must be an all-time head case because he's always making plays and always wearing out his welcome, the Saints let him walk for nothing and now the Cowboys are doing the same. I think he'd make Griffin even more effective, but I'd take Cornelius because he's younger, bigger and just as mean. MTK 06-02-2005, 01:12 PM I could care less about the former Cowboy thing anymore. It's not like back in the old days before free agency where there was an actual sense of team loyalty. I'm not saying the guy is a Kearse clone, but he has registered at least 7.5 sacks in 4 of his 7 seasons played. All I'm looking at is if we were to add him, he's instantly our best pass rushing DE. jrocx69 06-02-2005, 01:44 PM agreed matty, and remember, he's a cowboy now, but guess where he came from... thats right, he's a tarheel baby. tarheels are always welcome to my teams :) TheMalcolmConnection 06-02-2005, 02:11 PM Just like Matty said, there's no real sense of loyalty except to the Benjamins. AND we all know how players WE used to have screw us when we play their former teams. I'd like to see that work in our favor for once. Sean"Big Hurt"Taylor 06-02-2005, 03:55 PM you said that. i love it when teams in our division lose key players(one less player to worry about). guys you have to at least consider those guys i mean they are talented like crazy and could give us an edge. you can win games on defense ask b-more and along with that we have cp who shoud break runs like he did in denver. diehardskin2982 06-02-2005, 05:43 PM I feel I'd make a play on Glover, I'd pass on Ellis. Hopefully one of them, if cut would be bitter over the breakup and sign with us for cheap to play "them boys" twice a year for revenge. I'm also intrested in Coren Robinson, Peter Warrick and Ty Law. Robinson may just need a change of scene like Springs did last year. Ty Law intreges me because no one has signed as of yet. You know he has a chip on his shoulder, and if he heals to atleast 80% of what he was before the injury, He'll be a stud. Either as a nickel, safety or even a starter. Not to mention the impact he would have on the rookie and Taylor. I just hate that he's with the postons, I think we'd probraly have him by now if he was with any other agents. Warrick has speed and great hands, he's a question mark because he's never trully proved himself. If he could get close to his college form, look out because he was a true beast. monk81 06-02-2005, 06:57 PM Curious, I live in Texas nothing in our paper, checked local websites etc. haven't heard anything.......... The ony news on Glover was making him a back-up instead of a starter. The paper said that while he accepted his news role and said the right things.......this may create a problem later on with Glover and the Cowboys.............. That Guy 06-02-2005, 07:26 PM ty law is a big risk wanting big money... he's been a stud when healthy, but we dont really have a place with his injury/age/demands/agents... if anything he'd show ST how to hold out for more money. I'm really interested in Warrick too. I'd sign him to a one-year deal and see what he can do since his premium wouldn't be too high. |
