We could maybe start a new thread about this because I don't want to veer the original thread off topic, but almost FIVE MILLION people in North Korea just signed up to fight us following Trump's latest round of threats. Consider us thoroughly and completely F'd. No disrespect to our current fighting force, but even they know that going into N.Korea would be a complete slaughter the likes of which the world has never seen. Especially since we don't have five million people in all of our branches combined. No way in the world we could beat them on their home turf, hopefully we learned our lesson following Iraq & Afghanistan (Very doubtful though)
C'mon man, those 5million signed up to be on the Frontlines so they can be the first to surrender and get aid -- ala the Iraqi army in Kuwait.
Seriously though there is a thread in the debating with the enemy section for this sort of thing.

This has never been about the Flag ,this has never been about the National Anthem. This has always been about one man protesting the treatment of Blacks by Police in this country or at least that is what he has said.Others have jumped on the band wagon and drawn their own conclusions and cause's into it making it muddled.
Trump chimed in and as always is ignorant of the subject matter and blew up the entire situation just as JR said "it was settling down".So now what is the protest about, who knows, seems everyone has their own reason. What people have said is that Pat Tillman and many others have died defending a Flag that represents a Country that good or bad allows you to protest it "PEACEFULLY" any way you want.
Last and it's only my :twocents:Kapernick was not playing well when he decided to do this to bring attention to himself , he was not playing well and being a Vet is required to make a certain amount of money,he hasn't take a snap in over a year he is not a very good NFL QB.
I agree with G1. In the beginning Kaep clearly said it was about police brutality and mistreatment of POC, now it seems like half the people are doing it just to protest Trump's statement. The people that want to make this about disrespecting the flag don't care about the original issue, because if they did they'd probably contribute more to the discussion besides "stop disrespecting the flag and the military." There is no time or appropriate place to bring attention to that cause, besides somewhere that doesn't interfere with anyone's life (and thereby makes it hard to bring attention to the cause).

I heard someone suggest not having the teams on the field during the anthem. I'm just curious, Does that offend anyone?

Nobody volunteers for the North Korean armed forces, they are forced. North Korea has a population of approximately 24 million. 5.9 million currently serve as active duty military, that's about 25% of the population.
If 5 million suddenly signed up they'd basically double the size of their force, and have every able bodied man and woman aged 18 - 55 serving in the force.
Snake I've said it before, but you don't think very well.

I don't give a rat's ass what they do. I didn't tune in to honor the country, I didn't tune in for a lesson in racial relations. I tune in to watch some football.
I don't care if they kneel, I don't care if they stand at attention and salute, I don't care if they stay in the locker room.
Do what you want, it's a free country. Just like I'm also free to choose not to give a shit. I just came to watch football and drink beer.

Amen to that. I wish people cared as much about our congressmen standing for the anthem as they do about NFL players.

https://i2.wp.com/www.commonsenseevaluation.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Real-Men.jpg?resize=450%2C741You realize even if all 16 stadiums are filled with people linking arms that tops out at 1.6 million in a population of 360 million. Your pictures dont disprove anything. Most Americans are sitting in their comfortable seats or at a bar somewhere and aren't standing at attention for the anthem.
