With struggling of our outside WR and Cousins to get on the same page, we must continue to bring those guys along but we must form the passing attack around getting our biggest threats the ball: Thompson, Crowder and Reed. Id like to see all 3 in passing formations going forward

Thought it was a great game yesterday. Defense HAS to fix some of those break-downs because otherwise they have been looking really damn good. Running game? Where has THAT been the past few seasons? All RBs ran like they gave an F and it showed. CT especially.

I want to see more of Crowder doing those screens and flare outs, because that's where he thrives.

I'm truly concerned about our WRs though. Doctson has to get his shit together.

Kirk and TP just need more time, it'll get there eventually.

Doctson def needs to get his shit together, but we still need guys like Grant/Pryor on the field to pull coverage away from our primaries right now. If nothing else they can be decoys at least. Eventually teams will get wise and throw more coverage to guys like CT and Crowder, and when that happens our other guys are going to have to step up.

O line was getting a great surge. Some big holes.

Secondary is a legit strength. Kupp (3 catches - 33 yds), Watkins (2-30), Woods (1-8, Austin (1-5). Except for that 70 yard blown coverage play for TE Everett, secondary is shutting things down.

Zach Brown had 10 tackles. Resign him if he will take reasonable money. Kerrigan made 1 play, the strip sack. Jonathan Allen also was credited with 1 tackle.

Tress Way had 4 punts, 51 yd avg, 2 inside the 20, long of 62. Great job.

I feel like this is 2015 Kirk. Not 100% comfortable yet, trying not to make a mistake vs making a big play. No trust to take down field shots. Great job on the game winning drive. great job to punch it in for a TD. Clutch late.

Any win is a good game. With that said:

- We had continuing breakdowns on D at critical moments.

- On offense, it was almost as if said to himself "I'll show them, I'll run the ball every damn down." Look, I am as firm a believer in the run game as the next old fart. However, after running on 1st down every series of the game, somewhere in the 3rd or 4th, a first down play-action would have been nice.

- Our first three trips to the RZ resulted in ONE touchdown. On D, we could not get them off the field consistently. Both sides of the ball kept letting the Rams back into the game.

This game did not need to be this close. It should not have come down to the that last TD. And, before you say "they are pros too," I accept that. However, it was our breakdowns that kept them in the game. Against a better team, this would have been a loss.

Again, any win is a good game. Further, there was some progress and the team showed good fight. The commitment to the running game was great - let's see if Gruden stays committed. Next week is going to be a much much more difficult test offensively and defensively.

I agree with JR. Gruden is either in one extreme or the other. Run or pass to the point of predictability. He just doesn't seem capable of out thinking opposing coaches.
