I think the hype behind Perine needs to calm down a bit. What did he do to warrant being named the 2nd team back besides being drafted? Our two best guys are Thompson and Kelly and those two are the ones that can be trusted. I don't trust Perine or Jones.

??? He's barely gotten the ball. Chill a bit. As the season progresses, we'll see what we have with Perine.

The team may not be in season form but the fans sure are.

Yeah it's preseason and we're already planning to cut everybody at the end of the season ^^

I watched the first half, will finish the game later.

-Our defense was solid except for the first drive (OMG our starters allowed a TD, cut them all!).
Great to see Brown and Foster solidifying themselves as starters at ILB.
Breeland seems to have gotten his shit together.

-Glad to see the running game going.

-What got me scratching my head is that pass protection is supposed to be the strength of this O-line... and this week they seemed to have taken a huge step forward in run blocking and looked completely lost in pass protection.
Cooley said last week during his film breakdown he feels like they don't communicate well at all, blown blocking assignments all the time.

-KC has to handle the pressure better, but it was good to see him man up after throwing an ugly pick 6.

"You Know Football Is Back When Vontaze Burfict Is Facing A Huge Suspension For A Dirty Hit"

Just a great headline.

A couple things that stood out to me yesterday:

Positives:

1. The running game finally looked good. Fat Rob looked good.
2. The defense looks to be better. ILB and Safety standout as better. D-Line
3. Luavo got a big push for the rushing TD. Oline looked better.

Negative:

1. WR and Cousins still feeling it out. Doctson away isn't gonna help either, he needs to be ready. Lot of drops yesterday
2. I know its only preseason, but some of the offense playcalling when we cross their 50 gets strange. Quick outs, same consecutive run plays...this is on my radar now for the season.
3. 4 wins.

It's just hard to judge the offense when they're showing so little. But I'm a little concerned about the wr's. Docston would have played had it been a regular season game. But really how many games can we count on him to play? What's his over/under? 10? I'm starting to get the feeling that it's always going to be something with him. Same with Reed and we're counting on both. Pryor looked like he has a long way to go.

Also the o-line is losing too many one on one matchups. That has nothing to do with scheme. That's just getting beat by the guy across from you.

Not going to freak out about Cousins quite yet. He's put two solid seasons on tape.

I liked that they put a drive together of mainly runs and scored on it. If nothing else maybe opposing D's won't 100% disregard our run game. Also had a lot of 1st down runs for positive gain. Good things.

Still it's preseason, and in the end, what matters is they are ready for the 1st game. My guess is that they will still take 2 regular games, but this is the first preseason under Gruden that felt like he cared about the games enough to push the players who took it lightly.

Finally, I think TW definitely took the preseason lightly, won't be the case once the games count.

The key for me has been no major injuries. Fingers crossed on Phil Taylor.

agreed, commentators even noted that we should have all our starters week one. and I think they got good reps in this preseason.

Agreed, he wasn't playing 100% at all. That's fine, he'll be ready. But at the same time you'd like your best player to be a leader by example and pull his unit up !

Side note watching the 2nd half right now: Moreau, Nicholson and Holsey looking good... and Galette is out there! Good to see him healthy.
