We need a young developing qb on the rooster...this draft has them early, Middle and late. I’d rate the stock as an b+ for talent. Grab one if u like one after the second round

Of course we should draft a QB. That's a given, IMO.

I think you wait. This is more an indictment of JGrudens future then need. This year with this trade we only have a 1st and 2nd. Next year we should gain a 3rd for compensatory. Smith is our starter for the next 2 years minimum so let's use this draft to build the team lines.

IF Gruden can't get us in the playoffs with Smith then you let him go and let the next coach draft a qb to groom.
IF Gruden gets us in the playoffs then in 2 to 3 years we draft a young qb to take over when Smith is on the final years of his deal.

If Allen or Mayfield are there at 13 (highly unlikely) then I say yes only because Smith is 33 Y/O and father time never loses.

I think you need to draft a QB there is a reason Alex Smith has been run out of two towns.

There is NO way we draft a qb this year and have a mid rounder sit behind a 1st rounder again and put Alex right back into a similar situation he just got out of. We have Colt and way too many other needs to draft a QB this year now anyways.

This.

2 to 3 years seems like a good timetable to draft a QB.

next year would make sense. Colt's contract is up, and Chicago/Glennon set the market rate very high for a mediocre QB.... Colts probably playing his last year with the Skins.

From what I have heard Josh Allen was highly inaccurate during senior bowl practices. If you can't hit WRs when someone is not covering them and grossly missing the target that would be a big red flag to me.
