I think Allen and Snyder drove McCloughan back to hard drinking.

Mayock gave a written statement on NFLN this evening saying that he has not been approached by the Redskins, has has not spoken to anyone from the Redskins organization and he has not had any conversations about a job with the Redskins.

except he put the word official in from on those statements

It's a tough calll to think which road is the best...internal guy, someone outside familiar with Bruce and the org or a total outsider....I just extremely disappointing to hear the organization still has this divisive and petty nature going on within the confines of skins park. This situation was absurd and how it was handled...

I got nothing...my preference would be a fresh, strong personality within the org from the outside. Mayock kinda has a personality like that...I don't want Doug Williams.

And that Cooley piece, he can go fuck himself. Playing dumb ain't gonna work at this point.

Won't matter much who the new GM is, he won't have any real power or say. Anybody that tried to actually have power over operations of the team since Snyder took over was shit canned, with the exception of Gibbs, and that is probably a good reason he left, not just his grandson's health issues alone. I don't blame you about being pissed at Cooley still. What he did was out of line even though it was pretty much spot on. I don't want Williams as the GM at all. Mayock I am sure is a better talent evaluator than he is. He is the one that kept talking up JC to Coach Gibbs before the Skins drafted him.

I would encourage people to actually listen to Cooley's comments, I found him to be pretty honest and convincing.

Hello Redskin Nation,
I am new to the Warpath! I look forward to great dialogue and passion w/ B&G faithful. I say we should hold off on the judgement of our front until the truth surfaces above assumptions.

Welcome

But let's be honest about the front office the track record with much of the same players...I think it's fairly obvious that it's divisive and dysfunctional. Post Gibbs 2.0 it's been a dumpster fire.

Please post more because this is very level headed. We know a lot at this point but I don't feel like I know for sure why McC was canned. I suspect jealousy and envy and ego on Allen's part played a role. I also find it damning that Cousins was willing to go over Allen's head to the owner, and that now he is taking a "it's me or the dog" stance against Allen. I don't think Cousins would do that without very good reason. I think he knows an awful lot.

But I don't know enough yet.

Wholeheartedly agree. He made a bad mistake bringing the subject up on the radio but I don't think he was told to.
