Defensewins 03-10-2017, 05:50 PM Bruce Allen was supposed to be better than Vinny Cerrato:
Bruce Allen’s arrival was hailed as the start of the era of professionalism, and the end of the era of the Clown Prince of Redskins Park, Vinny Cerrato.
During his stint from 2002 to 2009, Cerrato’s record was 52-65.
Bruce Allen’s reign at Redskins Park? A record of 45-66-1.

Stupid to assign the Gibbs years to Cerrato. Those were entirely engineered by Gibbs.
Irrelevant comparison. I hate Bruce but I'll take him all day over Vinny.
Schneed10 03-10-2017, 05:58 PM I think it's more likely we end up with Mark Dominik. He was in Tampa with Bruce.
He's pretty good on TV too, and has GM experience. I worry though that means he'd be a yes man for Bruce. Honestly, maybe that's the best thing. McCloughan obviously was not, and all we got was turmoil.
You either give Bruce who he wants, or you get rid of Bruce.
Schneed10 03-10-2017, 05:59 PM What if Cousins succeeds in this attempt at "it's me or the dog". He'll be a bigger hero in this town than Riggins, if he manages to get Bruce fired.
A guy can dream.
As long as whoever they pick meshes well with Bruce and Jay, that's all I care about. It's a pipe dream to think one guy is going to come in and have 100% autonomy. Oh and save the boozing until you're off the clock please.

can't argue it's been more bust then boom, but we did win 2 division titles in 4 years and the first back to back winning seasons in ages. It's also kind of weird that Cerrato's includes 5 more games?
I don't think most anyone is saying BA is the best ever, but he clearly has had an effect reducing DS direct interference, and hopefully we will find the right combination of a solid GM-Talent guy, a strong HC, and BA .
Chris Cooley apologizes to Scot McCloughan, swears he wasn’t Redskins’ mouthpiece (https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/dc-sports-bog/wp/2017/03/10/chris-cooley-apologizes-to-scot-mccloughan-swears-he-wasnt-redskins-mouthpiece/?utm_term=.9ec58a38f15b)

I just copy and pasted from the story, so I am not sure if the records are correct.
I just thought it was relevant to the blame being laid at SM feet. If SM is going to be harshly judged, then lets judge and grade everyone. Bruce Allen remains and the questions needs to be asked....why?

He is Dans obligatory sycophant. He has attempted to bring in people with GM talent in MS and SM and won a division title with both. Vinny didn'tbring in faux GMs and led a downward spiral ending with a zorny outcome.
