Eagles and Ravens make a trade.
Per @AdamSchefter: So here's the deal: Ravens traded DT Tim Jernigan and third-round pick (No. 99) for Eagles third-round pick (No. 74), per source.
Is Ozzie Newsome the type to trade away quality D-Line? Nope. Eagles with a big reach here IMO.

he's a smart gm, like they have in new england.
similar to chandler jones and jamie collins, trade them for something while you still have their rights - but before you have to commit big money.

I would imagine being a GM in New England is the easiest job in the world (compared to other GM jobs), when you have an elite QB that gives you a hometown discount and a head coach that doesn't always need elite talent to win.

Uh hold the phone......
About 15 minutes ago the Cowboys RELEASED Tony Romo. If he was released, and did not retire, he is free to sign with any team in the league. No compensation to Dallas.
Romo can now safely have a 'change of heart' and an about-face on broadcasting and decide to play football and sign with any team in the league.

Time to see Bill O'brein work his magic with Kap or Cutler. For some reason people think he is a genus...lets see.
Straight to the top booth for Romo?!

I find this strange ?You take your proven number one analyst and drop him for someone who you have no idea how or what they can do behind a mike.Does CBS assume he will be their Troy Aikman? Reading the link I was under the impression that Simms was a good analyst,I have never heard of any complaints about him,to me he always seemed to be fair and on the money.
yea this sling shot to the top is a fuckin joke

It's Show Business, Baby! Phil Simms is an excellent analyst but CBS is betting on Tony Romo as a "TV Star".

I use to be on the BO bandwagon, thinking we should have hired him. But really, he hasn't done jack shit. His side of the ball has basically sucked for the past few years.
Simms catches a lot of flack but so does just about everyone in broadcasting. I guess CBS knows something about Romo the rest of us don't.
