Why settle for $24 when the guaranteed money on a long term deal would be significantly more, probably 3 times more

bingo.

Absolutely!

Not only that, look at the quality of the offense in Washington as opposed to San Fran right now. Better offensive line with the Redskins and more weapons to throw to. I think Cousins is smart enough to know it's not all about money, he wants to be successful. Not saying he wouldn't eventually be successful in San Fran, but I still think the Redskins are on the cusp of breaking out and being a consistent playoff team - San Fran is a long ways from being such a team right now.

Per Ian Rapoport

Play a potential and unprecedented three-way deal forward… #49ers inquire about Cousins. #Redskins talk about Tony Romo. #Cowboys get picks.

That would be the most stupid trade idea ever! Romo is 37 years old and made of glass - he wouldn't last four games.

If this trade goes through, man, I may just give up watching skins games after 25 years. Seriously. It would be the definition of incompetence

I said salary/ cap hit of almost $25 million. Why help Dallas get rid of someone they are going to cut. He is not worth 14 million, even if that is all the Redskins would be liable for..... there is a $5.7 million dollar bonus in 2017 too

Romo has played 5 games in the last two seasons and I think he's had the same collar bone broken twice and a compression fracture of a vertebrae.

The idiots will probably trade for a broken down Romo and then draft a lousy QB prospect at #17. What did we fans ever do to deserve this kind of Keystone Kops team management? Hell, they probably didn't send Scot home - he left on his own volition and they can't get him to come back to work!
