That's interesting... Please tell me an offer that you think that the redskins could get.

I know one team that needs Kirk and could get him just by paying his contract with no additional picks needed.

It's all speculation because Redskins ownership is not communicating with the media. If they are forced to do a trade which one would you want them to take?

Option 1: SF

Redskins gets: #2 pick, #34 pick and Eric Reid

SF gets: #17 pick and KC

Option 2: Rams

Redskins Get: Jared Goff, 2018 2nd round pick

Rams get: KC

Option 3 Jets
Redskins get: #6, #38, Sheldon Richardson
Jets Get: KC, #17, #49

Option 4: Browns
Redskins Get #12, #33, #65 and Josh Gordon

Browns Get: KC #235

Option 5:

keep in mind the Redskins gave up 3 first round picks and a second round pick for RGIII. And he had not played in the NFL. I am not saying the 49ers are that foolish, but they are desperate for QBs. They need two.

I would want the 49ers 2017 picks #2 ...#34...#66 and two 2018 picks. The Redskins would keep their #1 pick #17

Or give KC 5 years . . . $125+ million and $60+ million guaranteed

Peter king believes Kirk will not be traded this off season because the niners really don't want to give up the 2nd pick now.

No chance, SF will not offer all of that for a guy they can get in 2018

I came here to point this out:

“Eric Schaffer, who’s a great guy and works hard for the Redskins, and I are going to get together this week,” McCartney told Pat Kirwan and Jim Miller on SiriusXM NFL Radio on Tuesday, just a few hours after the Redskins announced that they had placed the exclusive franchise tag on Cousins.

Note, that's Shaffer he's meeting with, our cap and contracts guy. He's not meeting with Allen. Why is that key?

Shaffer is authorized to negotiate $ terms on behalf of the Redskins, but he's not authorized to discuss trade compensation terms, that falls to Allen.

This meeting is to discuss $ figures. They may still leave the meeting with a major bridge to gap, but it needs to be noted this is a negotiation in earnest.

Redskins, Cousins agent will meet at the NFL Combine | CSN Mid-Atlantic (http://www.csnmidatlantic.com/washington-redskins/redskins-cousins-agent-will-meet-nfl-combine)

Could this be even better? Could it mean the Skins and Cousins have agreed to the basic parameters of a deal, and now McCartney and Schaffer are meeting to begin hammering out the finer points? You'd think Allen would be in that meeting if there were stil major $ figures to discuss

That is not an answer for the hypothetical.

No I think Shaffer is charged with negotiating with McCartney to come to the best deal he can. When he's done, just like a car salesman Shaffer will go back to talk to his "manager". Basically, he'll go back to Allen when the weekend is over and say listen I've been able to get McCartney down to $__ per year, what do you want to do.

Then if it starts getting close, maybe Allen gets involved.

He won't waste his time with the early stages of negotiating. Shaffer will do that.

I hate that back and forth to the manager stuff. Maybe some day the NFL and the NFLPA will go to "No Hassle Pricing".
