If Kirk must go to SF, I'd make it easy for SF to make the deal by letting them keep their #2 pick in the first round but they would have to include 3-4 DE DeForest Buckner in the deal.

My proposed deal:

We get DeForest Buckner, SF's 2017 second round pick, SF's 2017 third round pick, and SF's 2018 second round pick.

I might be generous and let them swap 2017 second round picks with us as long as they include their 2017 third round compensatory pick in the deal.

good deal for both teams....one thing to keep in mind will SF pay KC $$$$$$$$ AND give up players and/or picks. Next year they could get him for free (no picks or players) just the salary

How come I feel im about to be repetitively kicked in the balls when I think about the Redskins and Cousins situation?

A. Dan and Bruce track record with QB
B. McC and his drank
C. Kyle Shanny ready to stick it to the Skins
D. all of the above

Its D...with our cap space, it really doesn't make sense.

I wish I could be a fly on the wall as DS and McC go at it (or BA and McC but in this case McC should just lay him flat out, I'm sure we could get a gofundme page for his legal defense)

I want to keep Kirk, so I don't care if they do the deal or not. That's why I consider anything short of taking their #1 picks for 2017 and 2018 as being generous, kind, or whatever you want to call it.

So, f*** 'em if they don't want to pay the price for Kirk. That way, we keep Kirk for 2017 and if he's having a big year then we give him the deal he wants by mid-season. Meanwhile we treat him very nicely so he wants to stay.

I'm pretty sure if we tag him (3 hours until deadline btw!!! arg) and want to sign him to a long term deal we have to do that before July 15th or wait until the end of the season. Can't do it mid-season.

I still have hope that the non exclusive tag could be one more tool to determine his market value and be sure not to look like fools overpaying him.

It's only 1 pick and they believe he's a franchise QB, those guys don't come around often. I'm very disappointed in losing Kirk, he's been a great QB yes Great QB for 2 years now but once again it's the life of a redskins fan. We have something going good and our POS ownership fucks it up.

I don't see the Redskins giving up on KC for the 2nd pick of the draft. That's a bad deal and SM isn't that stupid. Snyder is but SM isn't and Bruce will just go along with with Snyder says...lol.

Don't franchise him and let him walk. Trade back in the first round and draft Nathan Peterman from Pittsburgh.

I don't really mean this but I kind of do if that makes sense. This whole thing with Kirk drains the life blood out of you as a fan.

Can't give him a deal midseason. If he's tagged, once you pass July 15th you may not negotiate on a contract again until the season is over. You have to play under the tag. Can't even pick up the phone to talk about it.
