Daniel Jeremiah is extremely well plugged-in. Thing is other well plugged in guys are saying other things. We just don't really know. But DJ has been a scout in the league for years, worked obviously on the media side too. Really tight with some of the current coaches on the team, like Kyle Shanahan and Chris Simms close
OK I'm hearing this message and stand corrected.
But I still don't believe speculation until I hear it from multiple sources. I'm still waiting until somebody corroborates it. Every NFL insider is all over this story now. You better believe ESPN is trying to get the scoop, they don't want to be scooped by the NFL Network (Jeremiah). So either the digging unearths something or I start to question it.
Basically I'm giving it more time.

I guess my only question is are the two sides even trying to get a deal done, or have the sides gone quiet until the FT is applied?
No real reason to right now. Kirk's side won't negotiate until they know they have the franchise tag to work off of

On the bolded, that's about the most limited thinking I've ever heard. Yeah because all defenses are created equal, so we can put the W vs L entirely on the QB. Stupid.
On the underlined, that's actually a valid point, because the defense actually played well against the Giants and Kirk was a major part of the problem with the offense.
Good point, everyone expects KC to throw 50 times a game with no interceptions. And have a 2 minute offense that wins the game without leaving any time on the clock. Despite the fact that the NFL is a pass happy league, a running game and a defense is needed.

Then that's what makes the idea of the Redskins giving up their #17 pick AND Kirk Cousins to move up to #2 dumb to me. I'm sure DJ only gave part of what he's (possibly) heard, but I'm assuming if Cousins is tagged, there's much more involved in the trade than that.

RG3 was pretty awesome in College as well.

Watson is a much better qb than Griffin and a way better leader. They aren't the same player.

Well, ok... but if the Skins know they are tagging him, and the Skins want a long term deal, then why not use that baseline now?
Basically you are saying KC wants to have another team force the Skins up from what they are offering now, right?

It was asked Cutler or Romo.
I say Romo for a couple years then we sign Eli Manning. That way we would have picked up the trash for everyone in our division. Get old shitty McNabb, old injured Romo, and old goofy Manning.

What DJ said is that from what he's heard he think there's a greater than 50% chance Kirk is playing for another team. Then he added his own opinion that it might require them giving up their own 17th pick

I'm saying someone has to officially make the first move. The Skins can say they want to tag him, but they have actually have to do it

If we like 5000 yard passers let's just trade Cousins and draft the guy from Texas Tech then resign Garcon and draft a receiver and TE in the middle rounds.
