Romo for sure. Cutler is a non-starter because of attitude.
I still think Cousins signs long term. I'm not buying Daniel Jeremiah as a source. I'll wait for the plugged in guys to hear a whisper.

Can't believe I'm even asking this but would you rather have Cutler or Romo? Excuse me now while I go and vomit.
I would rather have Alex Smith, because it makes more sense to have him as a stop gap. For one thing, the Cowboys are not going to allow Tony Romo to sign with a division rival. I would be shocked if this happens. What that would tell me is that the Cowboys know Tony Romo is done and what better way to further the gap between you and your most hated rival than to jettison your long time, broken down, franchise quarterback to them and show the world that he can't play a 16 game season.
I won't even comment on Jay Cutler because I think everybody knows he's trash. I would go with Alex Smith, because while he's a game manager at best, you can get into the playoffs with Smith, you can even win a playoff game with Smith. He's a solid stop gap and probably wouldn't cost much to pick up. Plus, he's a Scot McCloughan pick, so if the Chiefs decided to move on from Alex Smith, it would make way too much sense if the Redskins moved on from Kirk Cousins.

I think the main thing is that Romo will get straight up cut. No one wants to trade for him AND take on that contract. I hate Cutler too, but man I've hated Romo's face for soooo many years and that stupid duck move that no one could ever figure out.

This was my concern, but listening to Mike Robinson driving in he said Jeremiah is a guy who is locked into many football front office circles and is a legitimate source. Robinson said he loves him some ian rapport, but Jeremiah info is more background stuff...the details of why things happen.
Mike Rob said he's heard the problem is the same he's heard since mid season about Cousins and it comes down to is Cousins a 23-25 million per year player?...he said look at the win-loss record as starter...that matters more than the numbers. Also remember how they finished the season, good QB get the win to get in (the playoffs).

I hope they sign Cousins however if they don't and we don't get a huge haul from a trade then I am done with this team. at least 2 first round picks and maybe more. who ever makes the trade is looking at Cousins as the franchise QB and they don't come cheap..one reason I believe the Skins do not want to sign Cousins to Huge long term deal is simple. They do not believe the team as a whole even with Cousins is a deep playoff team. my problem with that is who the heck else is out there who can get us 9 wins on the cheap?? if i thought Colt Mccoy could win us 9 games and we could use all the number one draft picks from trade and not whiff on any of them and get three top pro bowl starters out of it then it might make sense ..BUT that is a lot of IFS..

I'd rather pick up Tyrod Taylor and draft Trubisky with that second pick.

On the bolded, that's about the most limited thinking I've ever heard. Yeah because all defenses are created equal, so we can put the W vs L entirely on the QB. Stupid.
On the underlined, that's actually a valid point, because the defense actually played well against the Giants and Kirk was a major part of the problem with the offense.

I agree. We need to sign him and than use all other resources (or 90% of them ) on defense. How anyone could have watched this team for the last two years and not come to that obvious and simple conclusion is beyond me. If he walks I am not only done with this team but I guess the NFL because I could never root for anyone else. SAD! lol

So you would go with McCoy and Sudfeld?
