That INT wasn't on Cousins at all -- Jimmy Graham totally blew it. It should have been a catch if not a TD; it hit him in both hands, for crying out loud. Cousins probably felt that way as well when he ran down Talib (which was pretty badass, by the way -- probably the best play by a Redskin since Sean Taylor blew up Moorman). I don't blame Cousins for doing it, and I would imagine any football player with an ounce of pride would do the same. I love the guy. Sign him already.

I read it earlier today and still feel happy that GM's and Coaches around the NFL are able to agree on what we can't seem to : That Kirk Cousins is a Franchise QB worth a big contract. Lynch put it out there in layman's terms about the perceived "high cost" - he said what Cousins is after is the going rate for starting QB's. And it's true.

At the end of the day i still stick to my belief that Kirk Cousins is not a Redskin when the 2017 season begins. IMO, they have done enough to make that known even without coming out and saying it. Do i want him here? Hell yes, I think he's the best thing we've had here in 20 years. But do they want him here? Probably not. I know Gruden and all the others are doing their part in "coach speak" about Cousins, but like someone else said on here, saying they wanted him back was probably just a way to drive up his value so that someone trades away big to get him.

I am happy to eat crow if at the end of the day Cousins is resigned to a multi-year contract here. And i say i deserve it if that happens.

I'm with you snake. From the tone of Cooley and Kevin it seems SM and or Dan is not in love with Kirk, and is willing to part with him for the right price.

I'm 43 and a lifelong Skins fan, but if they trade Kirk that will be it for me. I refuse to continue to support an organization that gets it wrong every time. That let's there ego or their bottom line effect there decisions. I mean really, did Kirk find Scott's liquor stash and poor it down the sink?? Why can't they for once be happy with our own guy and not always be looking for the shiny new car i.e. (Brad Johnson, Trent Green, Antonio Pierce, Ryan Clark, on and on again..) When is enough finally going to be enough..

Are you aware that both Jay Gruden and Bruce Allen recently said they are certain that Kirk will be a Redskin next season? BA was asked to give a number on a scale of one to ten of the probability that Kirk would be back next season and he said "ten".

did the Vikings not trade there entire draft for one player(walker)..who won that deal?what did we give up to draft RGIII ..who won that deal? IF YOU were the man in charge what would you trade Cousins for? ...I will go first His price would be this years #1 & #2 #5 and a starting D player..next years #1 & #2 and the next years #1 ..yes i would do that.in a second!

When the hell does that mean a god damn thing? Words are cheap. When we see Kirk smiling after signing a nice big contract then I will be happy. Until then anything said can be bunk that is said just to placate the fans and keep the competition guessing. You think they are going to let it slip out this early in the game if they are going to ditch him? Wait til the real negotiations start, then we will see if this is a bunch of hot air or not. Neither side is going to show its hand now. For all we know Kirk is going to intentionally highball his demands as to get the Skins to balk for all we know. Just let the chips fall where they will.

I'm with you on that Schneed. I would sign KC at almost any conceivable cost, but I think he really does need more situational awareness than this play showed, no matter how much we liked it. You just can't risk it all on something so inconsequential as this game...

If he asks for the moon I would not really fault our FO for not resigning him. I know it would be back to square one with finding a QB, but we could have Drew Brees in his prime back there and still wouldn't get anywhere close to a Lombardi Trophy with that defense. Overall Kirk improved tremendously stat wise, but didn't have a really great back stretch either. The AZ and Carolina games were real stinkers for the offense. I think we sign him, but if he goes nuts and way over inflates his asking price, I am not so sure even I would sign him. Just too many holes left in the team that offset having him come back for an extravagant price. We really don't have much depth all around either.
