They have not even offered him a contract yet. How can he turn down a contract that has not been offered?

A. We don't know if they've offered his agent anything, and B. His agent can submit terms agreeable to Cousins (and maybe he already has).

It's his right to ask for as much as he wants I'm just tired of hearing about how he has 0% power over whether he returns or not. It's a 2 way street in scenarios like this.

Franchise tag rules mean the team and Cousins cannot negotiate until after the Super Bowl.

I think people are reading a little too much into what Kirk Cousins is saying - or not saying. I think he's trying his best to just not say much and basically trying to say whatever happens, happens. His agent probably told him not to really elaborate, simply because he doesn't want to lose any leverage he might have in the negotiation. That's pretty standard. Let the team say they want him or not - which sounds like that was conveyed this week with Bruce and Jay. Let's just wait and see what happens. I think it's highly unlikely that Cousins is not playing as a Redskin next year.

I'm ready for the SB to be over, just so this "drama" can be resolved.

Me too. I'm gonna put this topic on "hold" in my own mind until after the SB.

The thing that bothers me I guess is that he doesn't seem to care if he's on the Redskins or not. He just wants to be where he's wanted aka whoever pays him the most. All he says is its not up to me, seems like a I don't care if I'm here type answer. I haven't heard him say something like "I want to be a Redskin but it's also a business...".

Ahh, you guys are right though, I sound like like a chick lol. I'm done talking about it until he's signed, franchised, traded, etc. Whenever that happens I'll see what I think of whatever decision was made.

I feel the same. I know KC feels he has done enough to get paid, and he has, HOWEVER, the team has done a lot to make him successful as well. It is absolutely a 2 way street. It is not all up to the skins. Alot of folks will disagree with me on this but I am starting to place KC in the me first douche bucket. He is giving me the vibe that $$ is more important than championships to KC and it pisses me off. The link below is why I posted earlier that he is not worth breaking the team for. He is not aaron rodgers. Brady or either Manning. To win SBs KC needs a better team around him than those guys listed above.
