That makes no sense at all....
they got the pick, and have the cap space. Basically paid xMillion dollard for an extra draft pick

he's still young and seeing what glennon got, another team may sign him to something around $10m/year. browns would only be on the hook for $6m if that was the case.

How about Cousins to Texans for there 1st/25th this year and there 1st next year?? would they do it and what if we ended up with Brock for nothing to compete with McCoy for a year.. sure we lose Cousins but if he wants out ...let him go. just thinking out loud.

I wonder if Brock's trade and looming trade/cut plays to our advantage at all in a long term deal. It is basically the other teams way of saying the market overshot on qb's, and that the Mike Glennon deal may bring qb values back down. Now KC may not accept that, but a lot of his talking points of being way better than Brock or Fitzgerald etc, have gone up in smoke

Browns acquire Brock Osweiler, 2018 pick from Texans - NFL.com (http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000791937/article/browns-acquire-brock-osweiler-2018-pick-from-texans)
The Browns plan on trading Osweiler, maybe with all the draft picks and money they have, Cousins would make sense and they can pay him.

Problem is KC has to work with that team and come to an agreement on a contract before he will be traded. No team will give up anything for him without a contract worked out. He still has leverage if he leaves, but no leverage to get out.
IMO the Redskin's best bet is to put a very fair contract out there 22-24M a year and add incentives for items such as 3K yards passing, 2:1 TD ratio with at least 20 TDs. Win 9 games. Even if he doesn't hit them, still making very good money.
I think the Redskins are greatly underestimating how important some positive press would be...

NFL network reported KC is going to sign his tag soon. If he does he loses his leverage.
