snyder is the only constant this franchise has had since 1999.

it's encouraging to see jay become the first hc extended since, but i read that his extension is not guaranteed? is that accurate?

if we can somehow sign kirk to a long term deal, that will be another step in the right direction.

and seeing all these starters leave via free agency should net us some compensatory picks, right?

reaching for silver lining here.

his extension is fully guaranteed . . . what you heard was florio being florio

I have much love for Kirk Cousins, but I agree with you on this!

I liked Cousins too, and understand that as a player he's going to want to get the most money out of a deal. That's the NFL business and I expected for him to be tagged and for negotiations to go all the way to the July deadline.

But I don't understand the strong desire to leave the team to a worst situation, or why people think the team has done something wrong to him. Over the past two years the team has done nothing but put resources towards the offense, including:

- Drafting Brandon Scherff
- Drafting Matt Jones (yeah this didn't work out, but still)
- Hiring Callahan to improve the offensive line
- Extending Jordan Reed
- Drafting Josh Doctson
- Giving Gruden a 2-year extension

Only Dan Snyder goes from 2012 to this. Ok so Griff got hurt and did not pan out. It is ok though the football Gods threw us a bone with KC. So tragedy averted. We wind up with a world beater offense and seemingly just a few defensive pieces away from fielding a legit team. Sign the man. Draft defense and sign a couple key pieces thru free agency. Simple. Everywhere except here and Cleveland. What a shit show. And I agree 10000 % with Chico. Danny boy is the constant through this entire exercise in futility. He is not going anywhere either. I absolutely cannot stand myself for picking a Skins jacket off the coat rack at Bambergers department store when i was 5 years old. It was probably sandwiched right between a Patriots jacket and a Steelers jacket too. Smfh.

Personally, if I'm Kirk Cousins, I would not sign my tender up until the last week of training camp. It we be the ultimate FUCK YOU to Snyder and Allen while still collecting 24 million. He actually has up until week 6 to sign the tender and still accrue a season under his belt.

If someone is willing to pay you 24 million dollars then there should be no disrespect. KC should run over to Redskin Park, sign that tender ASAP and thank the Redskins. That's a lot of god damn money for someone that's not an elite QB.

Don't you know that Patriots jackets only have been sold in the past few years. ;)

I'm still waiting to hear what horrible things have the Redskins done to Kirk Cousins.

Also, Houston gave Osweiller a ton of money last semester, and they are now in the Tony Romo sweepstakes. Other NFL team have problems you know.

Especially after collecting 20M the year before.

It's been said a thousand times. The NFL is a business. Paying someone 44M over 2 years, and having them say eff you. Gotta think the person saying eff you bears some of the responsibility.

If I understand the antiDS sentiment, it's something like, your guy RG3 didn't work out, get over it.

But wouldn't that same statement work against KC too. DS didn't say he loves you after the cleveland game get over it.

KC is not going somewhere else and throwing for 5000 yds, I don't believe it. He had talent(DJax/PG), then a second layer of talent(Reed/Crowder), and then even a 3rd row deep in Maurice Harris/Vernon Davis. His line did good at protecting him. His coaches loved throwing so he could put numbers up.

I want him here, but in this case I'm not get mImdub's truck revved back up. I think the team made fair NFL business choices. Did they all say Oh KC we love you. No, but most contracts in the NFL aren't signed on a Valentines Wedding.
