Anybody heard about Blair Brown (LB, Ohio). The guy missed 2 (that's TWO!) tackles in the run game all year.

He's a little smallish, but then so was London...

5'11", 238, ran a 4.65 40yd...22 reps @ 225

Maybe I'm dreaming here...somebody keep me honest...5th round flyer?

He looks quick at play recognition, gets off blocks well, quick to get in the backfield and makes tackles. Looks good to me.

When looking at the prospects that the Skins have interviewed or brought in for private workouts it is apparent to me that speed is one of the Skins's primary requirements for their draft picks.

I'm doing my own analysis of prospects and I'm taking a draconian approach to speed in that if a player can't run very well, then he can't be on my team. Yet, nearly all of the players the Skins have shown interest in are still on my list.

I believe that we're going to have a faster team after the draft.

More thoughts on some of the private workout players:

Taco Charlton - Too slow. Ran 4.92 forty at Combine. Lost weight prior to his Pro Day and still ran a slow time. To me, he's too slow to be an OLB in our system and I don't think he can carry enough weight to move inside.

Tanoh Kpassagnon - Very athletic but too slow to be an OLB. If the Skins are thinking of using him at 3-4 DE, that might work. He's big enough to play DE in our system.

Davin Cook - He's a woman beating turd. AMF, Davin; Adios.

T.J. Watt - Definitely not a 1st Rounder. I'd consider him as a 2nd or 3rd Rounder but there are better Edge prospects. Perhaps he could play ILB for us. I'm not sure about his best position.

Malik McDowell - I've changed my mind about him. I would probably draft him at #17. He is very stout against the run, he can penetrate and be disruptive and he can chase people down. He is physically dominant and he can play anywhere on the DL.

Ive heard he is lazy though. That seems to be a common problem for big D lineman, but to me, unless they have reason to believe otherwise, this is a deal breaker for a first rounder.

I had the same reservations. I also heard that his production was mostly against weak OL's. Then two things happened. First, I saw him dominate against some good OL's. Second, I heard him in an interview admit that he needs to work harder and he assured the interviewer that he is looking forward to being coached because he wants to become the best NFL player he can be. Now, I'm not naive but I got the feeling that he meant what he said.

I don't get to draft anyone but I'm glad the Skins are bringing him in for a visit. I feel confident that they'll learn enough about him so we all can rest easy if they should pick him in the first round.

I can agree with that, but I'd err on the side of caution. If it is between him or another player, and all else is equal, I'd shy away from him.

He played and dominated against a slew of very good OT's. Whoever said different was talking out their arse.
He also had an ankle injury midway thru the season. So im sure he did not want to risk his future. Different story in the big leagues. Dude is going to be a beast and I hope we snatch him up.

This is the kind of player I'm really not sure about. They want to be the best NFL player he can be. Shouldn't you have that same attitude in college or even high school? I had that attitude on Saturdays in the Church yard or the elementary school grounds when me and the boys played. I just wanted to knock the hell out of somebody and win. If you love what you're doing, that's what you do. He has so much talent maybe he can take some plays off. But I'm not looking for someone to take plays off. If we draft him I just hope he gives it his all every down.
