Im looking to see when Ryan got his sacks. He has 10 sacks and sometimes gets decent pressure but he hasnt been overly impactful imo. He has 29 tackles, 10 sacks .. so he has made 19 tackles through 11 games that arent sacks. He did get 2.5 sacks against the Eagles though ...
Cards Game - RK had 2 total tackles (which includes the sack)
2nd and 3 at WSH 32
(0:48 - 2nd) (No Huddle, Shotgun) C.Palmer sacked at WAS 41 for -9 yards(R.Kerrigan).
Boys Game- RK had 5 total tackles
2nd and 9 at WSH 46
(9:53 - 2nd) (No Huddle, Shotgun) D.Prescott sacked at DAL 49 for -5 yards (R.Kerrigan). Penalty on DAL-T.Smith, Offensive Holding, declined.
Packers Game - RK had 1 tackle, the sack he got.
3rd and 5 at WSH 8
(4:19 - 2nd) (Shotgun) A.Rodgers sacked at WAS 18 for -10 yards (R.Kerrigan).
-----------------------------
I only looked at his last 3 games but they all came on shotgun formations. To me that means he can beat his guy 1 on 1. I imagine the sack rate for shotgun is higher bc shotgun plays are usually longer route developing plays. Also I think RK excels at the outside speed rush so getting sacks on shotgun makes sense.

Kirk was the least of the problems. He was under heavy pressure all day. Yet he did not make any mistakes until the int at the end. The int on 3rd and 4 with 40 seconds left I cannot say I remember exactly how it undolded BUT i do not remember thinking NO! WTF?!? Lol. I want to say Crowder slipped or the dback made a hell of a play. It certainly was not a terrible decision to throw it though.
No it wasnt a horrible decision to throw it but it was a horrible throw,so you could say it was a bad decision because he felt the pressure and hurried the throw. It was 2 yards behind Crowder right to Peterson,if it would have been on the money it might have been a td

I see my early season angst with RK not showing up has caught some wind in its sails. Seems like only yesterday I was being lambasted for suggesting that he is meh.
Never did I suggest he was meh, and never did I put any wind in those sails. I just said he needs to be a factor. I never said he hasn't been a factor.

Well in all fairness, 69 made the remark that he "wants to see rk show the fuck up this week" because the d has been horrible. You agreed. I thought is Schneed just making an obvious blanket statement about him having a good game? Than thought , nah, he is agreeing that rk needs to "finally" show the fuck up. Guess i read it wrong but it came across as you piling on. No biggie. We all want every skin to show up every week. I actually think RK will have a big game. Mainly because i called him out. I know he follows me on Tapatalk.

Guess he thought he could get it there even under pressure. Again i do not see the old kc stupid throw there. Or a throw that cost us a game. More a qb trying to overcome horrible pass pro at a crucial moment in a big game.

Kerrigans not a dynamic player. He gets sacks because he's a solid pass rusher who never gives up. You rarely see him just dominate a lineman one on one
What's special about him though is durability and consistency(knock on wood). I had to look this up to make sure, but he has never missed a game in 5+ seasons! And his lowest sack total is 7.5 in his rookie year, since then he's averaging 10 a year
The fact we spend so much time dissecting one of our better players just amazes me.
It's like whining about your windshield wipers when the engine doesn't run.

Idk, theres always that thin line in debates when it comes to discussing our good players. Kirk with getting rattled/ints in bunches/cant beat good teams. Reed with poor run blocking/not playing through pain. Desean being limited to go routes.
I think we all love Mr. Ryan Kerrigan and 10 sacks are 10 sacks and there is no such thing as a garbage time sack .... but he has not been a consistent force this year.
He was in the first eagles game where Lane was just suspended and he abused that rookie RT whose name starts with a V. Hopefully Ryan can get off again this week.
