I really hope you stick around after the Cowboys get bounced, I will be severely disappointed if you don't. Gotta walk the walk if you're gonna talk the talk.
they never do...Cowboys fans are most of the fairweather variety...

After last week I wanna believe the Skins are going to be dominant again on Sunday, but after the Carolina letdown I am not going to get my hopes up again. That was the best opportunity we had all year to make a statement, and the only statement we made is that we couldn't be trusted to get the job done.
Is this a winnable game? Absolutely. Should we win considering all the factors? Definitely. If we play up to our potential and they rest key guys, should this be a close game? Absolutely not. Yet for some reason I'm not sold. I'm putting 90% odds that we will win this game, but the Redskins have always been that team that will beat the odds (in the worst possible way) when you least expect it.
Case in point, Carolina game. The Redskins had an easily winnable game against a mediocre team with an injured star qb. It was on national tv in front of the whole world. All they had to do was win in order to take control of the 6th seed and their playoff destiny. The least they could've done is shown up, but they were never in the game. The final score was closer than the game ever was. I'm sure they also saw the stat that we were 1-16 in our last 17 home MNF games, with a -200 jillion point differential that was leaps and bounds worse than any other team in the NFL. And yet they still looked like dogshit, like they didn't want it.
Also final reason I'm not picking the Skins, is because I'm watching the game with my boys this weekend and whenever we get together (usually for primetime games) the Skins always lose. Prove me wrong Skins, I'd be more than happy to be proven wrong in this case.

I know what the writer is trying to say, but the bolded part of this quote from Oddsshark seems wrong to me:
The path to the playoffs doesn’t get much simpler for the Washington Redskins, as a victory against the New York Giants in Week 17 almost certainly sends them to the postseason. The only way the Redskins don’t make the playoffs with a win is if the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions play to a tie. Washington has traditionally struggled against New York, going 6-15 SU in their past 21, but did eke out a victory earlier this season.
I don't think the team could have given themselves a more convoluted path (unless we consider Tampa Bay). They have dipped in and out and in again. I hope next week the team puts themselves in for good!

I think he meAns as of right now. We could be needing another team or two to help us out. Certainly not as the season has progressed because like you said we screwed ourselves over a couple of times.

Yeah but teams that make those kind of runs (Giants, Ravens, etc) are built around great defenses.
Saints weren't they just created TOs. Anything can happen. Are we a threat? Probably not but u still never know

I hope they do play them all game because I believe we win again but I'm telling u they will sit after half, especially with all of the injuries happening.

I'm not worried about the Giants' offense playing. Except for Beckham, they otherwise suck. I'm focused on their defense.
If McAdoo is an idiot he would play the guys who are hurting, like Janoris Jenkins and Snacks Harrison. But he's not an idiot. I think a lot of the defensive starters will play, but the ones who are questionable definitely will not.
And if the key components of the defense take a set, then we're in good shape. I think Eli will definitely start the game, but if we can put a hat on him a couple times then McAdoo will wise up and get him out of there. Not sure if that's necessarily a good thing though, the dude throws more INTs than any 'franchise' QB out there.
Beckham is the only thing that scares me.
What Schneed said.
I don't care what they say right now, they won't play any guys that are the least bit questionable, and any starters that do play likely won't go more than a half.
