^No way unless he gets a head coaching job

49ers will be needing a HC after they fire Kelly, McVay's grandpa was an executive with the 49ers during the 80's early 90's. Just saying.

Really? Is more like we need to fill holes in certain positions. I would replace Jenkins, maybe hood, Whitner, Blackmon, Hall, Bates add another ILB. I like Kerrigan, Smith, Murphy, Breeland. Some of our players are young and will get better. Lots of keepers.

I do like Murphy. Smith is looking more and more useless. Breeland is just ok if you can upgrade please do. Kerrigan- I would have to know what he is costing us exactly and again upgrade if possible.
Edit: the bottom line was outside Norman and Cravens there is nobody I would really be upset to see go...

I won't be upset if Gruden isn't kept, especially if McVay leaves. That said, the Skins should make a reasonable effort to keep him.

I'm definitely in fan mode, and would like to see Gruden and Barry gone, (though I bet if Wade Phillips had been our D Coordinator I would love me some Gruden)

I would love seeing Todd Bowles replace Barry as DC assuming he is gone from NYJ.

Bowles won't get fired after 1 bad season. Gruden is a good coach I want to keep him and Barry actually.

I'm more sold on Kirk than I am Gruden...lol I'm not opposed to an extension, but I really really want a change at DC. I don't think he's(Barry) good enough to take us to the next level. (with or without the needed personnel)

Anyone talking about not keeping Gruden is crazy. You bring in another head coach and even with the foundation we have, it would still be a rebuilding phase with a new system and playbook. Gruden is a much (or more) responsible for our recent "success" as is Cousins or the GM.

I do think you keep him for stability sake, but there has to be at least the question about whether certain repeatable issues (penalties, end of half/game decisions, etc...) are directly on him and can be corrected.

I think he will continue to grow and learn from his mistakes.

Yeah and unless I'm forgetting something I don't think he's done anything that's egregiously unforgivable.

He's done a very solid job.

He lost two winnable games to Dallas!!!:cussing::rant:

Good franchises keep their head coaches. We ought to keep Gruden.

BUT if he loses a 3rd game to Dallas this season... Off with his head!!!
