And last Sunday after the 4th down conversion we were all admiring Grudens big balls. Sometimes it's the right decision whether it works out or not
But I will say he fucked up big time by not calling a timeout until :11 left in the 2nd quarter. We wasted 15 valuable seconds there
Clock management could be a lot better around here. Also, I thought that the onside kick with over 9 minutes left was a very poor call by Jay.

And thank God we got Doctson. Lol. I know he could be potentially very good even great. Who knows? Im being a wiseguy. But I wouldn't argue BPA using him as an example of why it works at this point because we know nothing about him at this level.
look at our red zone offense . . . we could really use Doctson (someone with height, size and leaping ability (and speed) is very valuable there), which is one of the reason it made sense.

Good post.
Am I the only one liking Mason Foster at MLB? Not a pro bowler but a very solid tackler, helping us against the run.
I also think if we improve at DL, Murphy and Smith can do the job at OLB.
In an ideal world, I agree with you, but as somebody said, you can only fill so many holes.
Realistically, I think priority should be SS, FS and DL. I can live with keeping Baker, Kerrigan, Murphy(Smith), Cravens, Foster, Norman and Breeland as starters.
IMO Will Compton isn't physical enough but he seems to be a great team guy in the locker room and on the field... Don't know what to think about him.
i agree with the original post . . . we3 have no team speed on defense at all . . . we need speed on the edge at OLB and in the middle at MLB . . . and at both safety positions . . . that is the biggest problem on defense outside of missed tackles is we are way to slow

Do not disagree at all. Hope he comes back healthy and does just that.

Agree. There have been several incidents of exactly what happened before the half over the season. 26 seconds is a lot different than 11. 2 plays to the end zone or one? It is really that simple.
I like the onside kick. He said they got a look they wanted and had been practicing it. Hopkins kicked it a little too far, but that's the way it goes.
Our defense wasn't going to win the game for us, it was a play with huge upside that didn't work out but it was aggressive and playing to win on the road against a rival.
I had zero issue with the onside kick, because of the early squandered opportunities we needed more scoring chances.
Plus who do you trust more the offense or the defense? It was a gutsy call but it made complete sense. If we got the ball and scored a TD we probably win the game.

I liked the onside kick too. The defense wasn't stopping Dallas at all. It was a good attempt and they still started on the other side of the 50. Defense still had a chance to get a stop or at least hold them to a FG. They did neither. Defense got their butts handed to them all 2nd half.

The early onsides i was against. We had momentum and almost ten minutes left. It was the first time the entire game I was thinking we are going to win. Than you give Dak n Zeke a short field. Yuck. Our D had no chance of getting a three n out to keep them out of fg range. U make em go 75 yards. Maybe there is a turnover. Who knows. I do not agree with the gamble there at all. However I like the overall aggressiveness of JG.

My issue is knowing that Dallas probably has the best OL and having seen that the defense couldn't stop them on the first drive and others, why would you think that would change and why are they making it easy and giving great field position? I like some of the gambling, but he kinda over did it yesterday.
