irish 11-02-2016, 06:35 AM What if Trent played for New England? What do you think Hoody would do?
I think with the the way Hoody runs his ship TW wouldn't get in this mess in the first place.
Hopefully in the future the Skins draft guys with TW's talent but without his problems.
KI Skins Fan 11-02-2016, 08:13 AM Let's not pretend that this isn't a big blow to the team. Franchise LT's don't grow on trees. We were in a position to come out of the bye relatively healthy and perhaps make a run but now this is going to be harder to do.
Kirk is going to get hit and sacked more with Trent out. This will lead to more turnovers. Also, the running game will suffer. Our offense may find itself in more long-yardage situations. I'm not even going to say what I'm worried about most. Perish the thought.
Hopefully, Gruden and McVay can come up with some creative ideas on offense that will help to compensate for Trent's absence. Perhaps some misdirection, screens, etc. to slow the rush. I dunno.
I hope I'm wrong.

If Trent had been wearing a gold chain with a WWHD pendant, he may not have smoked weed to begin with.

Oh come on now BB is a life coach?

He might trade him, but under no circumstances would he ever release him.

Go ahead say it I already did. If KC gets hurt than TW's 2 million dollar bag of weed cost him a QB too.
Schneed10 11-02-2016, 08:33 AM SS84 - this.is a great site and it takes all types to make work. That includes an ass like Schneed, a KC crazy like punch and even a jerk like me. But what i would like to think is that we all try to use common sense and some level of realistic discussion. You have shared some of your struggles, but there are other sites that thrive on hyper level comments and reactions. What I think Schneed in his own unique way was saying is simply "think about what might be reasonable reaction and discuss from there, if that does not appeal to your sense of this board then perhaps another board might fit your senses." But like I said this is a good board and everybody has the chance to put their 2cents in.

Pretty much. I don't like poor thinking and so I react strongly to it.
The surest sign of poor thinking is letting an emotional reaction color your thoughts about appropriate next steps. To suggest that Trent should be released means you are guilty of at least one of the following:
1) thinking that because lightning struck here, it absolutely will strike again in the future. Just because Trent violated the rules here doesn't mean he will do it again. Especially in light of the Jones report that it wasn't a failed test, it was a missed one.
2) You've gotten so angered by the situation that you've forgotten how important a player he is
3) You think Nsekhe can get us through without a problem. This indicates you don't understand the Xs and Os of our offense very well.
4) You are unaware how important the LT is to a football team
5) You think you can find a replacement in free agency or anywhere outside of the top 5 in the draft
Am I an ass? Sure. Think of me as a critical thinking vigilante. If you bring weak shit expect to be called to the carpet. This site is better than that, if you want to just spout emotional bullshit take it to another site, because you don't fit in here with us knowledgable fans.
Schneed10 11-02-2016, 08:35 AM PS it's ok to be furious at Trent. I'm livid myself. I hope they strip the captain's C. But if McCloughan released him every GM in the league would laugh their asses off right after they submitted a waiver claim.
CRedskinsRule 11-02-2016, 08:42 AM Ok, I know this goes to the conspiratorial tinfoil hat mode, that avoids the rational discussion I just said we all want BUT ...
How is it that within 2 weeks of Josh Brown's being kicked for Domestic Abuse, Dallas and Washington suddenly face a possible major player distraction (Elliot's abuse case "not being closed in NFL eyes", and TW missing a drug test). I don't trust Mara, haven't since the salary cap theft, and somehow, these 2 things just don't seem random.
But they probably are, and I am probably just listening to the wrong cosmic waves...

If this were a witch hunt by Mara, Trent would have been screaming to the media and on social media that he didn't miss a drug test or piss dirty. But he's been silent. He knows he broke the rule.
Remember, for the NFL to announce the 4 game suspension that means the player's appeal has already been heard.
