Ok. I mean I am going to probably have a little more empathy for an addict because I think it permeates just a simple choice and actually affects the person physically. The demon of addiction can sneak up on someone. Before they realize what is happening it has you in its clutches. Yes though at some point you have to seek help, and put on your big boy pants.

And if you put on those big boy pants and do so then my opinion of you improves. (Royal 'you', of course)

My dad's been a smoker for 45 years. And my grandmother was an alcoholic. I definitely have lower opinions of them because of those things. Just in case anybody's thinking I'm not even handed in my dickhead judgment of people.

TW isn't going anywhere. I'm as disappointed as anyone, sucks to be down our best player for these next 4 games but on the bright side he'll be back rested and hungry for the stretch run. Next man up let's get this done.

I'd guess at least 2/3 of the league smokes. It beats drinking or pill popping. Hopefully with this election a few more states will pass recreational use.

I don't know if you saw 60 minutes on Sunday night but they did a piece on the effects of legalized pot in CO. One big effect is lots of babies being born with THC in their system because their mother smoked and it is stored in fat and therefore in the system much longer than alcohol. Pueblo is actually looking to ban the recreational use of pot because of all the unintended consequences of legalized pot. I used to be all for legalized pot but after spending time in CO and dealing with stoned people all the time and talking to those who live there about all the problems it has created I'm not sure legalizing it is such a good idea after all. If you haven't seen the 60 minutes show I recommend watching it.

Do you think that the pregnant women were smoking pot because it was legal? People who want to smoke pot do. No matter where they live.
I have friends in Colorado and have never heard any comments or issues about living there? Be more specific about the problems it has causes. Besides longer lines at the drive throughs....

That was again in response to C Reds comment tho. Maybe could have left it alone. Two comments doesn't constitute filling these threads with whining tho.

I sent a message in my other Debbie downer thread :( "The official 2016 worst case scenario thread", to CRedskins, telling him that I accepted his apology, and in fact upon re-reading what he wrote to me, I was sorry myself that I took it personal when it was obvious at second glance that's not how it was meant. I then told him that I got defensive because of my other thread on here where I was basically seeking out help, and this was prior to getting diagnosed with anxiety / depression in 2014. The "off my medicine" quote set me off but I realize that he was just using a general expression to like "chill out", and I didn't need to take it so personal.

I am sorry! I hope he got my message on the other thread, but that is pretty much a dead thread now (Unless someone wants to revisit it :) )

I followed it all. C-Red and you seemed like you were all good. You mentioned it again in reference today but it Didnt seem like you were whining just making a sarcastic comment.
I really don't think it is an issue. Lol. Cant speak for others though. No drama in my book man. Httr

Yeah legal or not people are going to do what they want to do. Legalization hasn't shown to increase the number of users.

Maybe someone else can confirm but I'm pretty sure a 2nd positive test would have gotten him bounced for more than just 4 games, so maybe that's the logic behind skipping it instead?

Reading the NFL drug policy, Trent should have been out the program when he went 2 years without testing positive in stage 2.(which he was in back in 2011) So he basically started over as if he's never been tested positive before. That technically means that he had to have had 2 more positive tests to get BACK into stage 2 again, which is where we are at with him. If he tests positive again, it's going to be a 10 game suspension I believe. Him skipping it wouldn't have mattered.

A point of note. Even if federally legalize, that doesn't mean that the NFL has to do away with it's drug policy.
