I'd guess at least 2/3 of the league smokes. It beats drinking or pill popping. Hopefully with this election a few more states will pass recreational use.

Mehh. How many posts has he made about his personal life ? One to my knowledge. It was in response to a snide remark. And C-red apologized. SS84 catches more grief about being debbie downer but so what? There is never a lack of room for compassion, and again he does not flood the football threads with any personal crap. Not even close.

More than once. Check out post #39 in this thread, and I quote: "Insert comments about me now about how i'm off my medicine or other types of personal and racial crap like some of the other stuff i've had to deal with here."

That's what set me off. I hate whining but I'll try to be nice.

Its about time folks realize things are changing in this country and the medicinal uses for pain have scientific evidence behind it. Shit even Washington DC really loosened the laws...lets says the down here in Va we are feeling the herbal effects of the DC law changes as well...

The next CBA the NFL needs to get in line and really chill out with the crazy suspensions....I forget who but an explayer said yesterday easily half the lockeroom is smoking.

I've heard estimates that 80% of the players smoke, obviously that seems high but I definitely wouldn't doubt that at least half the players do. I definitely agree the next CBA needs to have this issue addressed. I just wish the science aspect would catch up to the rate of public opinion.

That was again in response to C Reds comment tho. Maybe could have left it alone. Two comments doesn't constitute filling these threads with whining tho.

Not to stray to far from football, but why losers if you think it should be legal? It is not crack it is weed. Follow up question, do you think people who drink are losers?

I can clarify my thinking. I think if you get yourself addicted to something, that makes you a loser. Because you know the risks going in, we all do, we're all taught about the risks of addiction in school, and most of us by our parents too.

So tobacco addiction, alcoholism, pain killers, any of that. Addiction = loser because you failed to recognize the demon and stop it in its tracks.

Weed, if done socially with no signs of addiction, I don't really have a beef. Same with social drinking. I partake in social drinking, and very rarely binge drinking. But I know the signs of addiction, I know what leads to it, what causes it, and I know how to avoid it, so I do.

Or, in the absence of actual medical addiction, if the behavior affects your mind or behavior to the point where memory recall is worse, or motivation is lower, or effectiveness in the workplace is lower, that also equates to loser.

Basically, have fun, but keep it in control. If this stuff gets out of control and affects your life, then you're weak, and can't keep the demons at bay. That's a loser.

Until it does, would you cut one of the top 3 LTs in football? If not, you've made my point.

Ok. I mean I am going to probably have a little more empathy for an addict because I think it permeates just a simple choice and actually affects the person physically. The demon of addiction can sneak up on someone. Before they realize what is happening it has you in its clutches. Yes though at some point you have to seek help, and put on your big boy pants.

Well your point was "just because lightning struck once you think it will happen again in the future". If you had put a clause on the future being a minimum of five years away that would be different. Of course if we look at the future as anytime from now on than your point takes on a whole new meaning. Not trying to split hairs, and I think everyone would sign up for 5 years of no nonsense from TW and than smoke up, right now.
Anyway we should land the plane and all pray together that Trent wants a HOF jacket more than a new bag of weed right now! Because that is basically his choice going forward. By that time he might even be able to spark up while giving his induction speech. Lol
