Kicker Josh Brown released by New York Giants after abuse admission (http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/17884851/kicker-josh-brown-released-new-york-giants-abuse-admission)

looks like the Giants cut Brown...finally about 6 months too late.

Mara said they were "misguided".....that's this country folks, someone is to blame, not Mara or the Giants. Its the league, or the police, or someone else just not that organization

We need to do some BS translating on this one lol, here we go.

"We believed we did the right thing at every juncture in our relationship with Josh," team president John Mara said in a statement. "Our beliefs, our judgments and our decisions were misguided. We accept that responsibility."

"I accept no responsibility, and firmly believe we would've gotten away with it too if it weren't for you meddling kids. I don't give two shits about domestic violence, or the spirit of the law. I care about one thing, winning. Josh Brown is a fine football player, and I couldn't care less what he does off the field. He would still remain with us today if this story had quietly faded into the background like we intended it to."

"We hope that Josh will continue to dedicate himself to rehabilitation and to becoming a better person and father. We will continue to support him in his efforts to continue counseling, and we hope that Josh and his family can find peace and a positive resolution."

"Now that we've been caught with our pants down, I sincerely apologize for getting caught."

Brown had released a statement earlier Tuesday, apologizing and saying he has "taken measures to get help" for his alleged domestic abuse and wants to be a "voice of change, not a statistic."

"I apologize for getting caught."

"It is important to share that I never struck my wife, and never would," Brown said in a statement to ESPN's Adam Schefter. "Abuse takes many forms, and is not a gray area. Through the past several years I have worked to identify and rectify my own behaviors. The road to rehabilitation is a journey and a constant modification of a way of life. My journey will continue forever as a person determined to leave a positive legacy and I embrace the opportunities to show and speak about what has helped me to be that man.

"Call me many things, but don't call me a wife beater. I'm an abuser, not a beater. Very important distinction. Blah blah blah I'm sorry. That's what you want to hear, right?"

Who is this? I thought Charlies Angels at first. Now I am thinking a mom from some sitcom? Anyway Charlies Angels made me think of Cheryl Ladd. She is so hot. I wish sex tapes were around back than.

That picture of Cheryl Ladd is kinda creepy.
She looks like The Joker.

Let me ask you guys this: If the league was as strict years ago, as now, on this "moral clause" stuff, do you think Ben would have been suspended and or cut after not one, but two rape investigations?

I realize that he was never found guilty, but i'm just kind of playing devil's advocate...

Clowney hasn't been a bust this year, far from it

He hasn't been worth the high draft pick.

No, but he's trending in the right direction. Injuries have been his main issue, if he can stay healthy he can ball.
