Allen Barbre refuses to use Redskins nickname (http://was.247sports.com/Bolt/Barbre-refuses-to-use-Redskins-nickname-calls-them-Pigskins-48213203)

"I call them Pigskins,'' Barbre said.

While Barbre gave the Redskins an alternative nickname, he doesn't feel any ill-will towards the franchise.

"I've just never let it bother me," Barbre said. "I don't dislike them any more because of their name, or go out and play harder against them."

His Native American heritage is a different story.

"There really isn't a lot of respect for Native Americans," Barbre said. "I'm talking about the country as a whole. Native American history, I mean, there's no month celebrated, there's not even a day. We have Columbus Day, but there's nothing to do with Native Americans. I feel there's no respect given there."

lol i dont know how you walked away from his comments angry ... I mean, I get it, fuck the eagles .. but the guy came across real well imo and makes a great point --- we dont have a single holiday for Native Americans and no, thanksgiving is not a holiday that we honor them, pretty much the opposite imo.

Eagles Ryan Matthews leaves practice with an illness according to reports. Word is his status is unclear for Sunday.

That is an interesting development. Sproles is not a 3-down back, and that would present a real problem for the Eagles if Matthews cannot make it. Probably more significant to them than the loss of Reed is to us (assuming he cannot play). May force Wentz to throw a bit more.

Personally, I would always rather stomp a team when they are at full strength. But if Matthews doesn't play for some reason, that could be significant.

True. They probably aren't sad Reed will be out on our end though. :D

If he does, terrific. But last year he missed two games with a concussion. Chances are he misses this one.

Jordan Reed has now had five documented concussions. Who knows how many other. While he is a great player, it may be time for him to think about something else. Brain damage is no joke

I think the loss of Cravens may be more impactful -- we have other pass catchers, but I am worried that Sproles will scoot by our LBs with relative ease. Cravens was the antidote to that.

Hope these guys recover fully and quickly.
