It can be longer but it's not often shorter. over the mountain 10-21-2016, 06:03 PM I think I said this before but I dont want him playing against that POS brufict in London. los panda 10-21-2016, 11:46 PM I think I said this before but I dont want him playing against that POS brufict in London. good call, can't we just let scherff go enforcer on burfict on the first play? kct1975 10-23-2016, 01:29 PM good call, can't we just let scherff go enforcer on burfict on the first play? The worst case ever found, severe enough to kill a 40 year old. They thought he died of ALS. But in autopsy they found he did not have ALS or snything else, but he had a severe case of CTE. It killed him. Not suicide or other usual associated cause. Alvin Walton 11-03-2016, 10:04 PM Flag football, here we come! FrenchSkin 11-04-2016, 04:09 AM Flag football, here we come! Not flag football, but maybe we'll come to the obligation of tackling with your arms, wrapping the guy. I know it has to sound absurd, like the absolute pussyfication of football... but this rules exists in rugby, it forces the defender to actually tackle, you cannot just launch yourself into the opponent, and you have to tackle below the shoulders. Personally I've never been a fan of big hits, I like the facts that it's a physical sport, I've played CB so I appreciate the courage it takes to get down and tackle a guy twice your weight, but seeing a guy get "lit out" isn't fun to me. Anyway this probably wouldn't even be enough, it ever were to be done. There are a awful lot of concussions in rugby, and they are way behind in the implementation of the concussion protocol. They are just beginning to talk about CTE, only two known cases, but the institutions are in complete denial, so it's really hard to know if the "rate" of CTE is as high in rugby as it is in football. |
