How is this possible? Honestly, this grade makes the whole list suspect to me. Kory L. has been terrible. Both the Steelers and Boys (who have a crap D line) have had a push up the middle. Not to mention all the false starts (he has 3 in 2 games -- a lot for any OL and especially a center).
The ranking is taking into account the result of the play. I've been seeing Kory get pushed back into Cousins's lap quite a bit, but only on a few occasions has it resulted in Cousins having to hurry the throw or actually being pressured. In other words, Kory is doing just enough to avert disaster. Against a stronger DT I'm concerned he'll fold like a house of cards - that's just what the eye test tells you. But PFF is grading based on whether the block successfully allowed the QB to deliver the throw without a rush. He's getting by so far, against 2 fairly weak defensive lines.
Have to take these rankings with a grain of salt - in two weeks you've only faced two teams. The rankings are heavily influenced by matchups.

Id have to agree, I clearly see him as the weakest link. But Im gonna watch a little closer now.
Couple things kinda stand out with the grading and what im seeing and I mention some above...
But another is Preston Smith and Kerrigan need to pick it up a little bit in rushing the passer. And the grades reflect our lack of production along the Dline.

I'm as surprised by Kory's grade as I am by Lavao's...
I thought he did a very good job so far, how is he so far behing Kory and Scherff?

it's really hard to focus on offensive line play when watching a live game.

Yeah, but I'm sure the PFF guys are using All-22 film when they do their analysis.

I think that was los panda's point: they must have seen things we didn't see live. (but I have to say I'm still not sure how accurate some of these grades are...)

I really like Cooley's film breakdown each week. He spends more time watching the game film than the PFF guys and he knows the individual player's responsibility on a given play and he will explain in detail why a given player received a given grade.
His grading scale is:

Golston Cooley didn't grade him because he said they are friends and he was terrible.
I got these from the pod cast of the radio show on 980 so I may have missed one or two. Some players that don't get many snaps he doesn't grade.

Chris Thompson played enough for a grade but I didn't hear it after listening a couple of times even though several of his plays were analyzed.

In his film breakdowns, Cooley goes through the specifics of most of the players.
On Lict, he says he is getting pushed back some, but he isn't on skates going backwards and he is very consistent at keeping the rusher squarely in front of him.
He says when he can keep the defender in front of him 1v1, it's on the QB to move in the pocket.
