Chico23231 10-02-2016, 05:51 PM The talent on the line, and back to the LBs is no better then mid 20s, and that is the ceiling. It's always weird to have great skill position guys with no rush. Kendall Reyes, Ziggy Hood, Ricky Jean Francois, Golston, how many of those guys even make another squad.
Ricky Jean def is a solid rotational guy...he'd play on a lot of teams. Baker is really good and resigning him is a must. We really need to add a difference maker on the d line and not just a guy this offseason
DYoungJelly 10-02-2016, 06:23 PM Bruton misses way too many tackles...he should be benched
Agree 100%.
Terrible in coverage and terrible in run support. He is a lot like Perry Riley, his first step is in the wrong direction 50% of the time.

We have more talent from top to bottom than Dallas' D. They play way above their talent level. We play below ours.
DYoungJelly 10-02-2016, 06:29 PM Portis just said on the post game show that we don't have the personnel to run a 3-4 effectively.
No real revelation but having Spaight as the Sam in a 4-3 wouldn't be any worse than what we saw today.
calia 10-02-2016, 06:45 PM Is Spaight healthy?

He got a few snaps against the Browns.
Evilgrin 10-02-2016, 09:12 PM I see Norman, Breeland, Cravens, and Baker, everyone else on D is just a guy at this point. With Cravens its more potential then where he is right now. Preston Smith was supposed to take a step forward not disappear. I know coaching matters, I just don't see much talent on that side of the ball. Which is why I think they look to move cap space to the defensive side this offseason.

Murphy and Kerrigan are more than just guys. Compton is just a guy in terms of talent, but he is the play caller. Other than that, I agree with you. Maybe Fuller will develop and maybe Smith will too. I hope so.
Chico23231 10-03-2016, 10:13 AM Any ideas or adjustments on stopping the run?
Outside of Baker, we are doing horrible against the run with our front seven. Compton and Foster have been just ok vs the run, but the play in front of them really affects their ability. So Im not gonna put it on them.
Bruton and the SS position in general is usually a spot which helps clean up running backs when they may get to the second level. Usually because they play off they are not impeded by the blocking scheme, they can get to a spot to A)make the tackle or B) make the runner turn back inside to pursuit. Bruton has been extremely ineffective in doing either. Maybe Barry is saying to sit back...I don't know. But Strong Safety play is not doing us any favors in run support.
We really need someone else along the line to step up versus the run...Bruton or someone else at Strong Safety needs to provide better support at the second level and we need to tackle better.
Thoughts, ideas? Baltimore is gonna run the rock, we need to play better
Evilgrin 10-03-2016, 11:06 AM We need guys that can be more active along the line, and Compton takes himself out of plays alot.
